Re: T-Mac

Allen Iverson should struggle even more with the Zone yet he learnt to deal with it. He also had been with a bunch of not so good players for many seasons and never cried about it. T-Mac is a wuss. I had to laugh at his comments after losing in the playoffs to the Hornets that year, saying his team mates were the reason he lost and Baron Davis only had such good stats because his team was better. Crap like that. Then his little 'invisible' injuries that he relies on when he has a bad game. It's pathetic.

Admiral, what are you talking about. The Magic lost to the Pistons last year in the playoffs.

On another note, I think he is probably burned out. The zone wasn't just implemented this year. He chewed the zone defenses up last year, but it's not the same this time. He doesn need help. Nobobdy has ever disputed that. I think from playing this summer, and losing again last year, along with no help still, and a coach who can't teach but motivate, but has lost his ability to do that, and probably some unhappiness with the organization not getting him some real help, I think it's all taking its toll.

He most likely will want to take back those words later I'm sure. He sounds un-motivated. He honestly may be tired of it all. For those saying he just wanted to be the man, you obviously don't really know anything about this guy. He left Toronto to be closer to home, and to play second fiddle to Grant Hill.

Hill never recovered, and Mcgrady just happened to blossom. You could see his skills starting to show in that series with the Hornets, but the truth is, that Hornets team was just a better team. He trash talked a little because he said he likes the playoffs exciting, not boring.

Anyhow, I think it's a series of things all together. Yeah he said some dumb things, but he was likely speaking out of frustration and emotion.

As I quoted him before but people are overlooking

      Quote:
"I'm glad this is happening, I'm glad I'm struggling right now," McGrady said. "I'm glad all this is going on because great things have been happening for me the last three years I've been here. And now that I'm struggling, I realize that there's going to be bad times, it's just how I'm going to overcome this."

You take th egood with the bad too. He's a monster ball player, but right now he's having a tough time. He'll always be criticized for just about anything he says, especially by Laker huggers for obvious reasons, but hey, it's the NBA, and he makes millions, so he has to figure out how to change it all as he said. I'm still a fan of McGrady.

LOL, sorry about that Admiral, but it is true BD had a better team, that's why they won.

For the Kobe hugger, Doc is known as a motivational coach, not an x and o type of coach like a teacher like a Hubie Brown. I was alos just answering Monkey's question about what I thought about it, so why are you objecting so hard?

It's obvious Doc is losing his motivating influence. Tmac is in a rut and everyone in the Magic organization is just looking at him, and the team can't play D, nor does it seem they care which shows in their play. As I stated before, Tmac was on tv showing Doc how a play was run. That's sad.

As for him coming closer to home rather than stay in Toronto, it's true, and if not prove to me otherwise.

Also, saying Kobe fans are after Tmac is laughable, but you must've proved your own words right by being the only one who is attacking it being a Kobe fan and all.

I sure don't see AI, or PP fans in here rambling off like you are

Admiral, what are you talking about. The Magic lost to the Pistons last year in the playoffs He said "that year" not "last year" .

On another note, I think he is probably burned out. The zone wasn't just implemented this year. He chewed the zone defenses up last year, but it's not the same this time. He doesn need help. Nobobdy has ever disputed that. I think from playing this summer, and losing again last year, along with no help still, and a coach who can't teach but motivate, but has lost his ability to do that I guess you're in the lockerroom and you see that he has lost his ability to motivate, or that he even had that ability in the first place....I see why coaches are the first to go when teams start losing...Tmac just sealed and delivered Doc Rivers a pink slip , and probably some unhappiness with the organization not getting him some real help, I think it's all taking its toll.

He most likely will want to take back those words later I'm sure. He sounds un-motivated. He honestly may be tired of it all. For those saying he just wanted to be the man, you obviously don't really know anything about this guy. He left Toronto to be closer to home, and to play second fiddle to Grant Hill BULLSH!T .

You are absolutely right!!!! "saying Kobe fans are after Tmac is laughable" ....this really does make sense, cause why waste time coming after Tmac.

yeah, I'm a kobe fan, but I attacked cause you said that "laker huggers" say tmac wanted to be the man, that's why he left toronto. CHECK THE POST, I'm the one who said that. ME!!! So it's obvious who you are talking about. I didn't reply cause I'm the "laker hugger", I replied cause I knew exactly who you were talking abou.

If you knew anything about basketball, or watched any games besides Orlando, you would see players discussing plays with their coaches all the time...a lot of time, improvising plays and letting the coach know....

And Doc Rivers is a has been, and always have been...

He rode Tmac too long, and now that Tmac isn't top form the club naturally loses.

He'll always be criticized for just about anything he says, especially by Laker huggers Funny, you're the one who's always talking about Kobe fans out to get Tmac...you're the one who's usually critiquing Kobe...no Kobe fan cares about Tmac, we know whos the better player and we could careless what a Tmac fan says. It's you people who are insecure in your favorite player. Get over it!!! for obvious reasons, but hey, it's the NBA, and he makes millions, so he has to figure out how to change it all as he said. I'm still a fan of McGrady.
