So let's pump the breaks on "HATE CLEVELAND" here. Not sure if Hump is worth a 3 year deal.

Only the first year of a contract has to be guaranteed, so i assume thats whats the hold up. They want him to sign the "wink wink" three year deal, but he isnt a fan of a non guaranteed deal, considering he doesnt exactly have teams beating down the doors to get him as it is

I have wanted Humphries on the Lakers for many years now. I think he's the perfect 3rd big man on a good team. Give him 25 minutes a game an you're going to get 10/10 and one block. You know he's going to get on the glass, bang in the paint, and challenge at the rim, every night. At 27, I think a four year deal is a good investment for a team that will be smart enough to use him in the role that plays to his strengths. Given the going rate for bigs, 7-9 mill a year is a good price for him, IMO. Humphries is who I hope Jordan Hill can be slightly better version of.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Dragic, Martin, Scola, Odom, HOU 1st round pick.

Gordon, Aminu, Kaman, MINN 1st(Austin Rivers)

NO is probably matching Gordon contract or sign and trade for more assets, but you cant tell me that NO didnt get a better deal with the Clippers than the Lakers. If the LAL deal goes through, NO is stuck in treadmill of mediocrity with those players. Good enough to make playoffs, but not making any noise. At least now they have a chance to build a team, especially with the amount of cap space they have.

Hump is a good player. Tristan Thompson shouldn't stop them from getting him if they think he can contribute. Plus they'd be getting another aaset. Still think cavs reached on Thompson but im happy with the pick the raps got right after

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)

The Celtics coach didn’t agree with much that he heard, but he listened. And he moved on. The Celtics now have to sign another shooting guard. That’s his priority.
“Our relationship won’t change,” Rivers said while attending last night’s summer league practice at Rollins College. “Just because I disagree or I’m disappointed in Ray’s decision doesn’t change the way I feel about him.
“He talked to me. It was a good talk,” he said. “You know how I am. A guy makes his mind up, I’m not going to try and change it. I respect him for all he did for us, and I thought he should have stayed with us. Actually, you just have to let it go.”
Rivers, as such, has no regrets, even if he never had a sense of Allen’s final decision.
“I didn’t. I didn’t know one way or the other,” he said. “I just knew financially that we were in a better position. But he had his reasons for leaving, and I’m sure he’ll express those with you guys. No, I didn’t agree, but that doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter what I think. I just wish we could have found a way, and we didn’t. Always put it on us — it’s easier.”
Rivers finished the conversation with the vague impression that Allen felt he should have been courted more by Celtics management, but that didn’t give Rivers cause to second guess the team’s approach.
              Far from it.
Asked about the process of recruiting someone who has been a Celtic for the last five years, Rivers smiled.
“We recruited,” he said. “We couldn’t fly him to Miami because he was in Boston, but other than that we recruited him just as hard.”
Looking back, Rivers believes the Celtics had their priorities exactly right, moving from an agreement with Kevin Garnett to calling Allen at midnight on July 1 — the first day under the collective-bargaining agreement that teams were allowed to talk to free agents.
Garnett was the exception because he was eligible for an extension. Contact with any of the Celtics’ other free agents, such as Allen and Brandon Bass, was held off until July 1.
“I thought we (courted Allen). Danny (Ainge)in particular did exactly what he should have done,” said Rivers. “Kevin Garnett was our focal point, and he should have been. If that got anyone ruffled, then that’s probably too bad. We did everything we were supposed to do. At the end of the day you just follow the money trail, and in this case, for whatever reason, it didn’t work. He had his reasons. He probably got bent sideways a bit by us courting Kevin. I really don’t know, honestly.
“But at the end of the day he was great for us here, and that’s all you can say,” he said. “Clearly we would have liked him to stay with us, but I respect Ray, and that will never go away.”

Ignoring the posts and even tweets that clearly state that the Cavs would be in this strictly to stack more draft picks are we? Typical. A Laker fan also? Doubly typical. Stern should probably veto any Dwight trade too since the Lakers got 'screwed' eh? Mmhmm.

As of right now the Nets are going crazy and calling everyone who has cap space to take players with big contracts.

No offense to all of you Brooklyn and Orlando fans trying to get this deal done but uhhhhhhh, you guys are kidding about Hump right? You all would honestly want him on your team for 4 years and be completely ok with it?

Orlando, you guys are going to be rebuilding, if you were in our situation (Cavs) would you really want Hump on your team for 4 years? All he's doing is eating up cap space and taking minutes from developing our young bigs. If it's not for a one year deal I really don't want him unless we get a guy like Brooks too or a first rounder from Orlando (because they're rebuilding and will be a lottery).

Taking on Hump for 4 years is just absurd. We don't have to be apart of this deal. We're just one of the few teams in the league that has the cap space to help both Brooklyn and Orlando out. We can bail now and you guys can ask someone else but good luck.

Doesn't matter what the fans want. It's what management wants.
