Orlando, you guys are going to be rebuilding, if you were in our situation (Cavs) would you really want Hump on your team for 4 years? All he's doing is eating up cap space and taking minutes from developing our young bigs. If it's not for a one year deal I really don't want him unless we get a guy like Brooks too or a first rounder from Orlando (because they're rebuilding and will be a lottery).

Taking on Hump for 4 years is just absurd. We don't have to be apart of this deal. We're just one of the few teams in the league that has the cap space to help both Brooklyn and Orlando out. We can bail now and you guys can ask someone else but good luck.
I...don't see the problem with Hump. I really don't. He can be an average to above average starting PF, or a good to great backup. Is it the amount of money you're worried about? You guys need a backup PF, or at least a stop gap until Tristan grows, so why not? You guys are seriously planning on playing Luke Haragody or Samardo Samules over the Hump?

The length of the deal may be a problem, but I'm sure you can eventually trade him to a team that needs a PF, especially if you backload his contract in any case, or however that works.

Like some Orlando insider Tweeted earlier, they should hold off on trading Dwight for now, they could agree to a bad deal anytime.

Yes, all players, coaches, GM's and owners should take notes(I would say fans too, but I know that is hopeless ), that is how a professional handles that kind of situation.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I don't think it's bad considering the other suitors and the fact that the longer they hold onto Howard, the less leverage they hold.

The Dallas Mavericks have had talks with Rafael Hettsheimer but haven't made an offer to the Brazilian center, a source close the situation said Monday.

Website Basketeria.com.br (in Portuguese) reported that the Mavs have made an offer to the 6-foot0-10, 260-pounder who has been playing in Spain, similar to the path taken by San Antonio Spurs forward Tiago Splitter. The source said the Mavs have had talks with the Brazilian but reports of an offer are premature.

Basketeria.com.br reports that Hettsheimer has drawn wide interest from NBA teams and has made visits to the United States to meet with clubs and undergo medical exams. The source said he has not visited with the Mavs.

Dallas is in the market for young, inexpensive players to fill out its stripped-down roster. And they might have an interest in big men to join Brendan Haywood, Brandan Wright and draft pick Bernard James. Free-agent backup center Ian Mahinmi appears to be headed to another team.

Other Brazilians playing in the NBA include Nene, Anderson Varejao, Leandro Barbosa and Celtics draft pick Fab Melo.
                So its come to this...
                NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
                NBA: Dallas Mavericks
                MLB: Texas Rangers
                NHL: Dallas Stars
                NCAA: Alabama Crimson Tide

After how Orlando handled the Dwight drama last year I think they deserve a deal like that. Nets shouldn't give up Brooks. I think he is the difference from them actually making a title run with Diana Howard.

That deal is terrible for Orlando. No way they can't do better than that elsewhere

If all they get out of this Dwight Deal is Brooks and some terrible late 1st round picks, I'm gonna laugh. After ALL THIS TIME, thats what you settle for? Will take years to recover from that.

Wait what? After how Orlando handled it? What did they do wrong exactly? Besides firing Van Gundy for this mental midget?

                          Not likely.

Nobody wants to take a chance that Dwight walks to BK after this year after mortgaging their future for him.

                          BK knows this.

This is a heist for Brooklyn if they pull it off.

Also good deal for CLE, they just want that 1st round pick. More assets..

Tell Bynum to sign long term with the Magic then.

Otherwise, what is the point of holding off on trading him, even if they can get the same deal later? Nothing's going to change unless Bynum says he'll sign long term or Duhwight says he'll sign long term in LA.

I would prefer Heat go after Blair, not Lewis, if he can't come to terms with Spurs. You can supposedly have him for 1 million. Lewis isn't deserving.
