If we are trading D.J for Hansbrough then Jordan and the front office has fallen back into their old dumb ways.

    That is a stupid trade.
The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.

76ers have said they have no interest in Humphries. Trading Thad for him would be stupid.

trading him this late was one of the dumbest moves this off-season, considering what they got for him. He is something special since there's no remaining upgrades left, unless you consider DJ Augustin & Gerald Green "upgrades"..
They traded him because they have George Hill. Not much of a drop off. Hell they probably better off.

I am excited about the Blazers bringing Hickson back.... In fifteen games he averaged 15.1 points and 8.3 rebounds... Granted this happened because Aldridge was out, but still a quality pickup.

Adding this with Joel Freeland and Victor Claver finally coming over and the Blazers are loaded with young talent. If they manage to not mess up the Batum trade, I will be extremely happy to the start of this new era.

For those pissed off Bulls fans right now, this article provides some hope:

                http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports...6859282.column

Basically it's saying the Bulls front office knows they won't be competing in 2013 or 2014, but they won't admit it, but they are just going to stay cautious so in 2014 when Deng is off the books, they can also amnesty Boozer which would get them $29.6M under the CAP so they can make a splash in free agency.

The 2014 free agent class could contain the likes of Kobe, Wade, LeBron, Melo, Rudy Gay, Bosh, Nowitzki, Gasol, and Amare depending on what they do with their options.

I'm optimistic now about our future, and I think Gar is a better GM than people give him credit for. We could also be getting Mirotic then.

Now this is a move I'm kinda annoyed by because the dude said he was willing to give us a discount to come back because we gave him a chance and no other team did. Not to mention, he would've been good for strengthening our bench because he can play SG/SF and showed significant improvement in his overall game from the last time he was in the league.

I know im coming in superlate, but he was in the same situation as JR Smith, being that the team could only pay him a raise of 120 percent from last year, which still would have him making like 2 mil a year or something. So it was basically no chance to retain him if anyone had interest

That really doesn't provide any hope.

What's the point of continuing to pay Boozer big money if we know we're not competing? Why not trade Deng why his value is at his highest instead of just letting him walk in 2 years for nothing but some free cap space? Doesn't make any sense to me.

That 2014 class is weak and that's assuming anybody actually comes to Chicago, like we assumed in 2010 and ended up with Boozer to show for it.

Kobe will hopefully be retired, Amare is already washed up. Gasol and Bosh? Please. Rudy Gay is the only hopeful, and after what I saw he couldn't do against guys 5-6 inches smaller in the playoffs this year, I'm not too high on him anymore either.

Stupid. This was the year to make a splash. Rose out for the season, some bench money coming off the books. Other teams interested in a couple of our top players.

We didn't have to even do anything that drastic. Could have traded Noah to the Kings for Reke and the 5th. Amnestied Boozer, took Drummond and called it a day. Obviously that trade was based on the speculation, from the rumblings around the league that said that was proposed.

Hell nothing even that serious. Amnesty Boozer, sign Mayo and get a serviceable big. Not that hard. Or could have made a play at Eric Gordon. Would have been worth a shot.

Instead our big offseason is going to be losing Watson/Brewer/Korver, wasting a pick on a PG and then signing another one and then tying up 10 million a year in a guy who can't catch a basketball. Then looking to sign a guy who hasn't been good in 5 years.

Great. But hey, let's keep sitting on our hands and waiting for the free agents that will never come. Mirotic is about the only thing I'm looking forward to at this point, if he even comes over.

Yeah take it from a Knicks fan, that whole waiting a couple of years for free agents to come doesn't necessarily work the way you want it to.

The Bulls should know that by now. We've NEVER landed the top prize of free agency. We always get burned in the end.

Just sitting back and chilling for 2 years is not what I would say is a "Good plan".

Its an easy and safe plan, but it is not a good plan.

Dang the Bulls are just going to waste the D.Rose years? Clear the path for Miami why don't you. Those guys were the only team I took seriously in the east that could stop those guys.
