That was before he signed that restructured offer. I really believe if the original offer was what was 1st reported, he'd be a Knick. Lin made a business decision to sign that contract & the Knicks made a business decision not to match.

Good for Lin. He get's his money & will be the man in Houston. The Knicks make some really nice moves in the off-season & have an upgraded roster from what they ended the season with.

Seems like a win-win to me

If the Knicks aren't matching Lin, does it make it more likely they'd go out and try to sign a two guard for the vet minimum (Brewer?) or would they still be looking for another PG?

I don't think anyone knows what kind of money the Knicks have left to pursue FAs.

The Lin deal didn't affect the cap at all because he's their own player.

I hope we still have a vet minimum contract to give out but I think Brewer's pricetag is too steep.

So Grant Hill's going to sign with the Clippers .....

I would love to know why. Why he felt it was a better fit for him.?

He's off to one fast pace offense to another. You'd think with his age he'd want to go a half court offense team.

But it is a possibility when a decision was made not to bring him back.

The Knicks can use the 3rd year tax hit number as an excuse, but there's always the small possibility they believe their team is better without him.

We can't say the possibility doesn't exist.
