All this "discussion" about a backup C and how he compares to other backup Centers, is the equivalent of Allen Iverson talking about Practice.

Most backup C's are typically just "bodies" anyway so it's not like you can do much worse than Nazr Mohammad.

And in comparison to the other available options at C right now, your pickings are slim, really.

Against the Duhwight Howard's and the Andrew Bynums aka your big/physical Centers, he's not a bad option and the numbers do show that.

So he's basically your typical backup C in today's NBA.

And that's literally all you need him to do. Not like you're asking him to even get you 4/5 in 18 minutes, which would be a bonus BTW if you get that from him.
Pack sums it up well, hes not coming to Boston to provide any kind of offense at all, hes the backup C and he won't see the court that much, with KG playing the 5 most of the time now hes going to be getting most of the minutes, they'll probably give Melo a few here and there just to help him develop and Collins will be out there to play D when KG needs a breather.

Honestly hes only needed when you face Dwight and Bynum as a body that gives you 6 more fouls, any other time hes strictly for D when KG needs a break and any offense he gives at all is a major bonus.

Do Nets fans know if Damion James is any good?

Or what his skill set is?

and I wonder who will sign T-Will

This. To me, if he can get over his attitude problem, this dude could be a beast in the league if he's given the minutes.

Hopefully nobody signs that bum. I honestly don't see why teams are interested in him.

Injury prone while we had him so he never really had a chance to develop.

Had some Sheldon Williams hands in that he couldn't catch crap. I honestly can't remember too much about him because he was out more than he actually played for us.

There will always be teams that will take chances on guys like T. Williams. I wouldn't be mad if the Lakers signed him at all. He plays to the beat of his own drum, but there will always be a team that thinks "we can turn this guy around". With Nash, who knows, he could look decent off the bench.

As far as I know and have seen, he works extremely hard at getting better and staying in tip top shape, it's his attitude and his circumstances that haven't let Williams fulfill his potential.

Lakers definitely need athleticism and a backup shooting guard.

It's not his attitude and circumstances that have prevented him from meet his potential because teams were willing to overlook that, especially the attitude.

The problem was/still is that his work ethic sucks and he thinks that just because he's in the NBA means he doesn't have to work hard or take his job seriously. And you would think that after having now 3 teams get rid of you in 2 years, he would've learned by now.

I think it's his immaturity that has him thinking he's entitled.

I remember watching his blog last year, and he seems like all he does is train and practice ball.

I don't know if he's just pouting in practice or if he's simply half-assing practices/learning the playbook but I think he'll definitely get one or two more chances on an NBA team.

Especially if he changes his apparent bad habits.. which he might have to or find himself out of the league all together.

Really? You mean Asik's defense is that much better than Nazr's offense? While Nazr has some kind of defensive game, Asik has no offensive game. Potential going forward Asik without question but basing it on the money and skill wise now I don't think it's that different.

Marco and Korver are about even, I'd much rather have Korver, I feel like Marco is just a chucker. And really, has no business chucking at all

Radman is a space cadet, I believe he hurts more than helps because of his inconsistency and the fact that mentally, he's just not there...

Overall I feel like the bench is about even to last year, all things considered
We won't see much of Radman but at least he's a player compared to Scal.

I'd rather have Marco. At least he has a to the basket game and you must have not watched enough of Korver last year. There were many 1/7 games.

I made my point about Nazr. It's a wash for me for different reasons. I'd rather have Asik but not for that money so that's why the loss isn't as bad.

Either way the bench is about the same with potential to be better.
