Like I said, not buying into Dwight as a Laker hype. This is never ending and I don't foresee LA pushing Bynum for Dwight mid season, especially if things start off well. Orlando might not be getting pushed around for a deal per se but creating false leverage is a quick way to limit your options.

At thing point anything Dwight related I just skip over because it's meaningless.
Glad to see Foye go to Utah. Like I mentioned, I'd much rather see Butler/Teague get more playing time out there.Comment

People still listening to Dwight rumors? The Magic will end up with nothing in the end if they keep ****ing with teams about this.Comment

Knicks continue to build backcourt, agreeing 2 terms with ex-Bull Ronnie Brewer on one-year deal, per source. Check the Hang Time Bkog soon.

Brewer was a great pick up for the Knicks. Oddly, he was the Bull I had the most trouble with letting go. I just loved his defense, energy, and how he would murder teams on the baseline.
And then he comes into this season and shoots 85% from three for the first nine games...good times.
The playoffs next year will be fun to watch, all the big market teams getting stronger. (except the bulls)

I know most are tired of hearing about this but here's my take.Brace yourself, Duhwightmare may not be ending no time soon:
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/81...ght-howard-now
Spoiler
At this point, how much of the blame can justifiably go Howard's way? I think after all that's happened everyone agrees Howard cannot stay in Orlando. His biggest and last mistake was opting in for this coming season, that really made no sense.
But since then I think the blame for handling the situation poorly falls squarely on the Magic. They fired Smith and Van Gundy to usher in a new regime but the new regime is going to end up looking as bad as the old if they burn all their bridges and end up having Howard walk for nothing and almost more importantly can't get rid of any of their toxic contracts.
The magic are also delaying their rebuilding process by not totally tanking this year. If they play Howard even up until the trade deadline they'll be at least challenging for a playoff spot which equals a later draft pick.
Howard for the most part has been pretty quiet on the whole thing this off-season, his obvious first choice was the Nets and he stuck to that, when Orlando (probably justifiably so) burned that bridge, Howard finally leaked he might be amandable to staying with the Lakers long term (big assist to Nash IMO). I think the time is ticking on a trade with the Lakers, as others have said in this thread, if the Lakers start off hot and Nash is making Bynum look like even more of a stud I can't see the Lakers making a trade of that magnitude mid-season, as it could potentially destroy the flow and chemistry (at least in the short term).
The other factor is how long can the Lakers afford to alienate Bynum by not engaging in extension talks? In the game of pick your poison not landing Howard is nothing compared to not landing Howard and losing Bynum.
Orlando is trying to play hard ball and get a better package for Howard but you can only yank someone around for so long until they walk away and refuse to do business with you.

Looks like Kirilenko is on his way back to the NBA next season.
