Jordan was a huge part of it back then but I always was a Huge Scottie Pippen fan. But even before D.Rose showed up I remained a diehard Bulls fan even during those terrible years where we stunk up the gym and management made multiple boneheaded moves like trading Elton Brand who was a 20, 10 player...or how about trading off LaMarcus Aldridge for Tyrus Thomas and Viktor Khryapa....another thing that really ticked me off was when they traded Kirk Hinrich...that heated me so bad, and I am happy we got him back but still feel we should have never got rid of him anyway, also I wasn't happy that they traded off Tyson Chandler. There front office just can really push those buttons lol
I can get with you on the rest, but the Hinrich deal had to be made to have a shot at LeBron and another FA.

That maybe true but I still feel like we should have never traded him.

I was at Ohare when he flew in when Krause and Reinsdorf wooed him with cheerleaders, fans, etc. Lol, didnt end too well.

Has there ever be first round draft pick not signed to the rookie contract?

Has Teagues looked that bad so far?

That is true... and I'd say saying Knicks fans have it rough for a minute is very light. They haven't won since the 70's and in the 90's they been tormented by the Bulls. Lost twice in the Finals and we all know about the 2000's.

Still, I'm with you on ownership. Jerry needs to go and his son cannot take over soon enough as he's more basketball compared to Jerry. Jerry is all about his White Sox.

As far as Teague, work in progress without question. He's looked pretty bad in summer league but that's not the reason why he's not getting paid. The reason is cheapness.

I always thought he should've stayed in school. I think all the Kentucky hype clouded it, especially with Knight coming out and Rose coming out after a year under Calipari. This kid just wasn't ready. And the Bulls shouldn't have drafted him where they did if they agree with me. If you don't think he's worth paying at that slot then don't draft him there. Maybe they can move him in a trade.

I agree on all accounts... don't think they will find a trade partner though.

Either way if they knew this was going to they shouldn't have done the presser for him. Still a little bitter about Thunder drafting PJ3 the pick before.

That was a GREAT pick by the Thunder. Maybe it shock em a little, but they shouldn't have expected him to last even that long. I don't follow the draft contract slotting like some around here, but my understanding is there's only so much wiggle room here anyway so it seems completely out of line to not want to pay Teague within that range.

I wonder how many options he has.

Hold out until the NBA steps in or agree to the Bulls relinquishing his rights.

Bulls have done this before and they might do it again. I'm sure they could have traded that pick before making it.

Yeah, I'm putting all the blame on the Bulls. The kid should've stayed in school but the punishment for that decision should've been slipping down to the 2nd round or not being drafted. Since the Bulls drafted them all responsibility falls on them. I think the NBA should step in but is he obligated to just those two options? He couldn't go to Europe? Not sure how that works since they have his rights but he's not currently under contract.

I think he could go to Europe and the Bulls would probably love that option since they retain his rights, don't pay him and let him progress.
