Well, Orlando is filled with incompetent leadership from the top.

This trade benefits everyone except Orlando.. who held the second best player in the NBA and managed to get absolute garbage (in relative terms) for him.

The Nets package was a lot better. Houston's infusion of youth and talent was better even if they couldn't get all of their young talent. So you hold out and end up with Al Harrington, Aaron Afflalo, Nikola Vucevic, and Moe Harkless.

Sounds about right for one of the most poorly handled situations all around.

Everyone else though managed to win this trade. Dwight for Bynum? Yes, LA would've done that regardless. Denver gets AI2 for Al Harrington and Afflalo? Yes, Denver does that easy. Philly gets Bynum for AI2? Yes, Philly does that.

NBA can fast forward to June already. Miami vs LA will be a fun finals but LA is going to win. Nash - Kobe - MWP - Gasol - Dwight is too stacked of a starting 5 to lose.

This has been me, reading through all of this Dwight stuff:

Dwight for Aaron Afflalo. And people think the Raptors are bad?

As a Suns fan I wanted Nash to go to a contender to try to get a championship. But our owner and gm do not know that SUNS FANS HATE LAKERS WITH A PASSION AND YOU AREN'T SUPPOSE TO TRADE ANYONE TO LAKERS. You trade him anywhere else, even for a bag of peanuts before you trade him to Lakers. Now Lakers got Howard? Great we just gave the Lakers a chip more than likely. Now I'm really going to be rooting for the Heat, Thunder, and Spurs(yes even the spurs and us suns fans hate spurs, but not as much as we HATE HATE HATE the Fakers!)...........

Great deal for Lakers, 76ers, and Nuggets though.
You mean Brook Lopez on a max deal? At least they got 2 young athletic wings and multiple 1st round picks. It's probably a good thing that they are protected 1st round picks because the other 3 teams are playoff teams.

I love the deal because we got rid of Al Harrington. I can't stand him at all. This frees some more PT for guys like Mozgov,Hamilton, Wilson Chandler, etc.

This trade is such a joke.

Also, if you're in the front offices of Cleveland, Toronto, Sacto, etc. - how do you honestly take the league seriously. You have no chance.

Lakers get Dwight, give up Bynum. I don't know, blame the other two teams involved for Lakers getting **** handed to them and completely coming out like bandits in this trade. They still gave up their starting center, probably the best or second best center in the conference.

Blame Orlando for taking such a **** package. You couldn't even script a worse trade for them.

                                Magic fan reactions

                                Shock

                                Unbelief

Looks for reasons to justify this

Can't find any so they go back to #2 then #3

Zone out for moments at a time

                                Anger

                                Feelings of rejection

Realization that the Magic took a huge boiling crap on them

                                Self Despised attitude

I know.. justification is real see

it's cap relief because of Al Harrington's contract is partially guranteed. Read into Turk's contract, he'll be bought out next year, so will Duhon. We'll be big players for next summer. With Harrington, Turkoglu, and Duhon off the books and J-Rich gone.
