Let's not forget the unimaginative offense of Brown, he better pray that Nash works his genius and gets this offense running smoothly.

The offense isn't going to run through Duhwight anyway because A) Mike Brown won't do it B) He's the 4th most talented offensive player on the team C) LA isn't built for an inside-out approach. Having some girth in there to try to keep him off the glass is probably more important than someone who can guard him. And besides, Miami's speedy half court rotations would make life tough for Duhwight since he's still robotic as hell in the post on most occasions.

Kobe is the one that I worry about fitting in to this offense now. He's not the player he used to be and Nash is still plenty good to be a pick-n-roll monster with Duhwight and Pau. It's going to switch back and forth between Laker-ball and Kobe-ball IMO.

I certainly don't think they're head and shoulders above Miami or OKC or a shoe-in for anything and I have a major internal struggle with putting any Mike Brown-led team as a favorite to win a title. Something will go wrong along the way and OKC or Miami will beat them.
That Nash & Pau P&R is going to be lethal.

The Lakers still go as Kobe goes. I don't think he's capable of accepting a lesser role.

Okay so wait let me get this straight....watching ESPN just now and saw on the ticker that the protected picks are the Lakers 2017 pick, the Nuggets 2014 pick and the Sixers 2015 pick. They can't be serious?!

Magic better hope that 2017 pick is unprotected or only like top 5 protected cause the lakers won't be a playoff team in 2017, everyone will be gone, this is likely the only pick that will be worth something

The Nash deal was a S&T so it just made it easier for Nash and Phoenix got some assets back in return.

As far as Orlando... good grief.

How long have you been watching basketball?

By 2017, the Lakers will have LeBron, Anthony Davis, and Kyrie Irving along with great role players around them if I had to guess.

This. They will still have Howard in 2017 I'd say and he'd still be doing well most likely and yes, once Kobe, Gasol, and Nash go all that cap room is freed up for the Lakers to add young stars.

then let him sign somewhere else. You don't help a rival like that, especially a division rival.... Would The Bulls trade Rose to the heat if he was leaving anyways? I don't think so.

I believe they would. If you recall, Cleveland S&T LBJ.

Happens all the time. However, since it benefits Kobe this time, Kash questions it.

Yeah I'm still scratching my head this morning. This deal is awful for Orl.

When I heard what Houston was offering I was saying the Magic should jump on it they won't get a better deal than that. So when reports came out saying that Herrigan wasn't rushing and I was just thinking the longer this plays out the less value he's going to get for Howard. Then this.
You looking at the Chair MAN!

Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.
