Orlando doesn't get a single high end talent and don't have cap space until 2014. I don't know how the heck you settle for that for Dwight Howard. It's nonsensical.

Him ending up on the Lakers is no surprise but the return is a head scratcher. Orlando fans ought to be pissed.

It was reported on the radio that Orlando is looking at OKC's blueprint. Good luck with that.

That's why it's laughable. To start all you gotta do is get Durant, Westbrook, and Harden. It's not happening. They should've at least got some decent talent to start the rebuilding process. There's way too much luck involved in building a team like OKC did.

So nice to see that with how badly I'm hoping for the Sonics to come back, this is what we would return to. Good times.

I guess it's no different than usual where only a handful of teams have a shot at the title each year.

I remember getting flamed months ago for saying that the LAL would spend, spend and spend and put together these circus teams because they'd be making money off the Time Warner cable deal and people said I was stupid and the LAL don't want to pay the luxury tax. I was told the LAL were deathly afraid of the luxury tax.

              NetsDaily.com ‏@NetsDaily
Mark Heisler, Hall of Fame Laker writer, estimates with new cable deal, LAL will make a profit of $150-170M this year. No team even close.

Orlando aint gonna do crap. Fact is they are an embarrassment to their fanbase
They've been scewing up on a high level for years, this aint nothing new

That said, If I told you after the lockout that LA would give up Bynum and get Nash and Dwight even though they're far over the cap you wouldnt believe it

If you dont think something is wrong with this I dont know what to say...

Unfortunately we've seen this movie before. Looks like 04 all over again

TJ Simers...Howard has already agreed to sign a 5 year contract extention next summer. If Dwights back is right this isn't a home run this is a grand slam.
                  Preaching SIM & playing ARCADE ? C'mon son !

The Heat...I'm not betting on LeBron stopping Pau and lol at Bosh stopping Howard.
Yeah, cause Gasol was such a dominant force playing in the high-post last season. Los Angeles frontline is tough, if not possibly dominant, but the Thunder have the tools (depth and quality defenders) to slow them down. Again, who is going to stop Harden, Durant and Westbrook from driving inside all game?

Lets look at what Denver got for Carmelo:

Yes Orlando gets 3 picks but all from Playoff teams! Each team in that deal makes it out better than Orlando and they have the best piece. Obviously you never get full value but come on.
Come on now, Alt don't be that guy lol.

Nobody in their right mind would've thought they would trade him and not get back at least equal talent(Bynum in this case).

But yeah as 23 mentioned, this franchise is a disaster.

I disagree about the "way too much luck involved" part. I think it discredits what Presti did. Also being a fan of a non-glamour team I know marquee players aren't lining up to come to my team. So drafting them is the best chance to not only acquire talent but more importantly maintain that talent long term.

So while the OKC method to team building isn't easy if you can't get a player of the talent level of a Duncan, James, Bryant, Howard, Paul, Anthony, Durant, etc to come to your team let alone 2 or 3 you really stand no chance building any other way.
You looking at the Chair MAN!

Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.

Well that is the finals really. Assuming all teams stay healthy the Championship comes from the West. Sorry Heat fan that was not a great team that won that chip that was a great performance by the best player on the planet that finally went to the basket. It took LBJ this long to figure that out.

As far as OKC/Lakers matchup...Artest lost 15 pounds this season and was out of shape last year and he played better than anyone else did against Durant in the playoffs. Westbrook IMO is at times the second best player in the NBA he's just fantastic can't say anything there. Harden will have problems for sure with Dwight back there. Harden makes that escape dribble and goes straight to the basket without jumping how does that move happen against a healthy Dwight ? If Dwight is right health wise he's the best defender in the NBA on that terrible Orlando team, now he's on a top three team in the NBA pretty sure that's a HUGE difference on all levels.

The pick the Magic got from Philly is worse than the pick the Nets got from Golden State for Marcus Williams.

I miss cocky, arrogant Laker Fans. Always so entertaining.

Humble Laker Fans are boring and I actually get offended by them because they put this front on like "Yeah man, I hate how we get whatever player we want, especially HOW we get them" but on the inside they're like, "This is too easy. Chalk up another ship for my boys. "
