Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (All Transactions 1st Page)
If you don't think luck is involved in hitting on Durant, Westbrook, and Harden in 3 consecutive drafts then I don't know what to tell you except I disagree.I disagree about the "way too much luck involved" part. I think it discredits what Presti did. Also being a fan of a non-glamour team I know marquee players aren't lining up to come to my team. So drafting them is the best chance to not only acquire talent but more importantly maintain that talent long term.
So while the OKC method to team building isn't easy if you can't get a player of the talent level of a Duncan, James, Bryant, Howard, Paul, Anthony, Durant, etc to come to your team let alone 2 or 3 you really stand no chance building any other way."You got it man. I don't watch hockey." SidVish"I thought LeBron James was just going to be another addition to help me score."

Sam Amick @sam_amick
Sources say Orlando also gets Lakers forward Josh McRoberts in the Dwight Howard deal.
Please Mr. Stern...just contract Orlando now. They are a complete joke of an organization.Comment

They may play it off like they're humble on here but I know what they really did while Mitch was taking everybody behind the wood shed.I miss cocky, arrogant Laker Fans. Always so entertaining.
Humble Laker Fans are boring and I actually get offended by them because they put this front on like "Yeah man, I hate how we get whatever player we want, especially HOW we get them" but on the inside they're like, "This is too easy. Chalk up another ship for my boys.

Orlando should've dealt with Houston. They could probably have gotten something like Lamb, Ross, Motiejunas, K-Mart's expiring, and picks for Howard and J-Rich or something like thatChicago Bulls

So instead of not trading him, you propose that they pay him to pout for the year, then watch as he walks away and they get nothing? I'm really not understanding why people are upset with Orlando; they had absolutely no leverage but got 3 first round picks and lost a headache.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (All Transactions 1st Page)
Ofcourse luck is always involved in the draft process especially with a lotto system. My point is many people thought both Harden and Westbrook were reaches at the time. Also who knew that Ibaka would be this good? That is the sign of an excellent talent evaluator. So saying their success is largely luck is disrecpectful to the guy who went against the grain and succeeded. You looking at the Chair MAN!

What's the status on those picks anyway? So instead of not trading him, you propose that they pay him to pout for the year, then watch as he walks away and they get nothing? Are they protected picks or are they basically 1st rd picks in like 2016/2017?#RespectTheCultureComment

Honestly if I was a Laker Fan, I'd probably be the same LOL.
The frustrating part is when they say "C'mon, we're the Lake Show and we get whatever we want" and then us non Laker Fans can't disagree with them because they're right.

The more I think about it, the more glad I am that the Lakers got Dwight. Gives them a better shot at taking down the Thunder.Comment

He was talking about the Nash trade then not the Dwight one.So instead of not trading him, you propose that they pay him to pout for the year, then watch as he walks away and they get nothing? I'm really not understanding why people are upset with Orlando; they had absolutely no leverage but got 3 first round picks and lost a headache.
They are protected picks in 2014, 2015, and 2017.Comment

HOU offered ORL $12M in space (instead of Afflalo), recent 1st picks, future lottery and unprotected picks. Would’ve taken bad deals and no need to take on Harrington contract.#RespectTheCultureComment
