I dunno about that. It all depends on a few key factors.

Can Andy stay healthy and play to the level he was last year before the injury?

Is Tristan developing an sort of offensive game to where he can stay on the court and demand some respect?

Do the Cavs have a guy who they can put at SF and say that the guy is an NBA quality starter?

Can Dion Waiters adjust to playing with a ball dominant PG?

Can Kyrie improve his court vision and cut back on the scoring?

Can the Cavs use the bench bunch effectively and find their key roles? (3pt Specialist, low post defender, scorer)

They have some answers for some of that *Tristan is at least showing something of value on offense* while they are likely going to be disappointed with other answers *Dion is going to struggle early adjusting to Kyrie and likewise Kyrie with Dion.*

I think they can contend for the 8th spot and at least stay in the race, but I don't see anything more than 28-33 wins this year. That puts them, IMO, about 7 games back from the final spot.

I truly believe this Cavs team will be hard pressed to win 35 games... They're not very good yet.

That's not an awfully bold prediction. The Cavs still look pretty awful on paper. Irving could very well potentially be one of the top PG's in the league but he's not there at this early stage in his career. Outside of him that roster looks mighty thin.

Very true, would have been great if he figured that out earlier because injuries killed us a couple years due to the heavy workload, but better late than never I suppose.

Yeah, as long as Rondo stays healthy I expect he'll play huge minutes so whoever backs him up will just be for short stretches here and there and in those situations Pierce will probably be more of a point forward would be my guess, backup PG is our one lacking spot with our roster.

When's the last time the Celtics had a true quality backup PG. I mean it's been a while. I don't think that will be a big deal at all.

Guess Johnny Flynn and Terrance Williams didn't impress the Pistons coaching staff enough to earn a roster spot.

Product of hype. Never really liked neither of them in college.

And as expected Knucklehead Terrence is out the league. To think I actually was excited when the Nets drafted him. Sigh.

Yeah, never was high on Flynn.

Too small and didn't shoot it well enough. He was definitely a product of hype.

I thought Terrance, at least with his physical attributes, had a chance to be an extremely productive player in this league. Not sure what goes on in that guys head though.
