Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)
I was at the beach without cell service from about 3-10:30pm EST yesterday. I was sitting in traffic on the way out and texted my buddy asking if any big NBA news broke in the last few hours and he replied with "Nash to the Lakers" and I just ignored it because I thought he was ****ing with me because he knows how badly I wanted him on the Knicks.
I was in shock a few minutes later when I saw it all over Twitter and found out it was real. SMH. I can't be mad at Nash, he's in a much better situation to win a title with LA than he'd be in NY. Still angers me though damn it, I thought we were going to land him. Felton back to NY, sans Pringles' system.
Frank Isola @FisolaNYDN
Knicks have emerged as favorites to sign Raymond Felton, the Daily News has learned.@zd183: As I reported last night, Felton was at Dolan's 4th of July party. He revealed he is going to be on the #KnicksLast edited by ehh; 07-05-2012, 07:20 AM."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)
What do you guys think about the Suns now? Their starting 5 got a boost despite the Nash trade.
PG: Goran Dragic
SG: Eric Gordon
SF: Beasley/Dudley
PF: Beasley/Some body else
C: Marcin Gortat
With Kendall Marshall and Robin Lopez off the bench, this isn't a bad team. It would easily make the playoffs in the east.Comment

Phoenix will have a fun time losing in the opening round the next 3-4 years.
Not sure if this was posted...
Knicks to send out offer to Pablo Prigioni
Claudio Villanueva on (his client) Pablo Prigioni's future: "(The Knicks) made him go through several physical exams, and they were impressed by his physical condition. He also worked out twice individually. Two days later, Pablo received a list of schools where he could take his kids. Starting tomorrow, we will wait for the offer and we will study it."
"Money always matters. At the same time, this would be the cherry on top for his career. If that means he has to leave some money on the table, maybe we'd do it. (...) If Pablo gets to play 20 minutes a game in the NBA he will average 12 assists with his eyes closed and walking backwards.""You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)
I thought it was going to be NY or Toronto to be honest so pretty surprising to see LAL.
If I was Felton I wouldn't go to NY because of what happened in the Melo year but at the end it's about the $. If NY gets him then that's a great pickup.Comment

If they even make it to the opening round... I don't think they will. Even with Gordon they're still a .500 team. Maybe...Comment

With Gordon they may push for a playoff spot, but without him they are stuck in that middle of ground of not sucking enough or not making the playoffs.
Sounds like he's headed to NO tho unless a sudden change of heart from management comes, they've always planned to build around him despite knowing he'd get the max somewhere.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

When guys like Gordon find a team they really want to go to and they fear their "current" team might match, why not agree to a one-year deal with the new team?
Then if the current team matches, they only have to deal with it for one year. And if not, they can just make a handshake agreement to resign with the new team after the one year.
I guess in a league where back stabbing is about as traditional as waiting for tip off, there's too much at stake with taking a one year deal and hoping all of that works out for you.
Just sucks to know you will have to spend the next five years in a place you said you didn't want to stay.

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)
With his recent injury concerns EG can't afford to play on a 1 year contract then test FA again.
He's made comments about not minding coming back to NO since they obviously control his fate, good city, Basketball is basketball doest matter what city he's in,etc.. I just believe when he tried to hype up Phoenix after agreeing to their offer he didn't word it the right way, I mean he's not gonna come out and say PHX isn't a bad place but I just want the max from either them or NO.
Also forgot with the whole new owner thing, rebrand coming, trying to sell out,etc I don't believe they ever considered letting EG go, but we'll see soon enoughLast edited by Chrisksaint; 07-05-2012, 07:52 AM.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment
