Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)

Yep, it's that time already. Andrew Bynum rumors are stirring up and I for one am driving this giant propagandapalooza train :choo choo:

    per Adrian Wajnarowski on Twitter
"Dallas and Cleveland are among teams with cap space that would interest Bynum in 2013 as a free agent, sources tell Y"

"Among Bynum's short list of potential free agent landing spots in 2013, Houston is prominent with Dallas and Cleveland, sources tell Y"

Being the Cavs fan that I am, I am now ok with us not going after Hibbert. I give us a -20% chance of getting Bynum, but hey, it's a shot right??

I honestly see him going to Houston the most. I don't see the appeal of Dallas. No Kidd, no Terry, and they couldn't get D-Will or Howard this offseason. How old is Dirk? If I'm picking either of the Texas teams it's Houston. Discuss.

Id honestly give us a legit shot at getting Bynum, between us, DAL, and HOU because of Kyrie and how we are rebuilding. Kyrie is a great, young PG in the league, neither HOU or DAL have a player like Kyrie. Dirk is great, but he is towards the end of his career. You put Kyrie alongside Bynum, thats a great start to building our team. Thompson at PF, can be our rebounder/defender in the paint and around the perimeter, Waiters is another scorer/playmaker. Could Zeller start at PF if we wanted a more offensive approach? Dont really know much about him. Then add that we are still rebuilding, possibly another top 10 pick, along with our other picks to work with, we could build a team that can contend a few years down the line. A lot of what if, but it COULD happen.

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)

Bynum is has so much upside but you have to worry about him going to a younger team like the Cavs, I mean if he still gets out of control being around good vets like Kobe and Gasol just imagine when he is one of the more experienced guys on the team, if he can stop with wanting to shoot 3's and trying to steal the ball from his own teammates he could be awesome but I think his immaturity would be his downfall quickly in a situation like Cleveland and honestly most other spots he is probably likely to land as a FA.

That said if you're the Cavs and he is telling you he wants to be in Cleveland you sign him without hesitation, he is still one of the best bigs in the NBA its just a matter of how good he can really be, even when hes doing stupid stuff hes still a good player, he could just be even better if he puts it all together and matures some more.

I put that Zeller comment on the Cavs forum. Obviously we'd be rolling Kyrie, Dion, ???????, Tristan, and Bynum. But I think we have great depth then if we decide to keep Andy (could we deal him for a guy like Rudy Gay to play the 3? or for a lottery pick come the deadline?) and with Zeller. I think Zeller, with his shooting ability, could play a similar role to putting Pau at the 4 with Bynum at the 5. I'm not saying Zeller is Pau-like I'm simply saying the same role, before anyone wants to jump down my throat for a "comparison".

I agree though, if he even has the slightest interest at coming to Cleveland we have to throw the kitchen sink at him to get him here. I think Dan and Chris would do it too. Dan wants to win and he would have no problem being in the red when it comes contract time to keep our core guys (Kyrie, Waiters, Tristan, and Bynum) here. Bring on some guys for the league minimum to play defense and knockdown 3's and we're set.

Again this is a giant propagandapalooza train and I'm driving it for the next year.

Rashard Lewis will meet with the Miami Heat this weekend, according to sources. There's mutual interest between Lewis and the Heat.

Good fit for him and the Heat, not the player he used to be but without the massive contract he can still fill a role.

Soooooo we not gonna try for Mayo or Lee at all? I seriously hope the Bulls don't start this season having only made this Hinrich move. Guess we're limited at this point, but damn man.

There not bringing CJ back (but looking for trade), Ronnie won't be back (butler will fill his role), I doubt Korver is coming back. And I don't think JL3 will be back either.

                  I don't think they'll match Asik.

So that leaves the bulls at:

                  Rose/Hinrich/Teague
                  Rip
                  Deng/Butler
                  Boozer/Taj
                  Noah

That's only 9 players, so they need three more at least.

I wouldn't be surprised if they signed Michael Redd to back up Hamilton. They need more bigs, hopefully at least two knowing that Noah or Boozer will inevitably go down. I have no idea what bigs they would go for though.

I wouldn't be surprised if the last three people we sign are Redd, backup vet. min big, and Scal.

Orlando is still weighing options. Magic brass will meet tomorrow morning to decide if this is best deal. A trade could be completed Monday.

His maturity would be a concern, but I trust Scott in how he handles his players, I think he could control Bynum, IMO Bynum acts out because he wants a bigger role on his team, he'd have it in CLE.

Exactly, and I think he can. Especially with a PG like Kyrie who can make plays for others as well as play off the ball.

I agree with the Zeller/Gasol comparison as to their role, but Im not sure if Zeller defensively can play the 4, thats where I have Thompson start, and hopefully he'd have a decent jumper.

Kyrie,Waiters, SF,Thompson, Bynum, would be a good start. I doubt we get Rudy for Andy, but a scoring SF would be beneficial. Gee could fill the role, but I heard he wants a Fields type contract(thanks TOR), and I dont think he demands that type of contract.

The worst thing about this speculation, it all ends if Bynum is traded to a team he resigns with. Hopefully the our 3 team deal with ORL and NJ goes through, at least we have a CHANCE at Bynum.

Watson, Lucas and Brewer are pretty much gone. We'll see what they do because we still have holes to fill.

Curious what we would get in the three team trade.

Hump for nothing is not bad. Good backup for Thompson.
