Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)

Monty Williams must have seen all he needed to from Rivers today as the "attacking PG" in mincamp, Jarrett Jack shipped off to GSW.

Not that Jack wasn't going to be moved near the deadline, would have liked to see him stay for veteran presence a bit. Greivis did look decent in some starts as well tho

I saw a few minutes of the Pistons/Thunder game earlier on NBA TV, he looks goofier than usual with his long hair now

That frees up I believe another $6 million in cap space right now, there's gotta be some bigger plan to this for right now otherwise they would have waited for the deadline.

I guess Austin Rivers will be the starting PG in NO?

            That should be quite eventful.

WOW!! Rivers is the PG in NO? This will be interesting. I see alot of arguments on the sidelines with Monty Williams.

And I wouldn't mind Brook Lopez in Charlotte. Mullens is a quality backup. More than we have now. Although I would rather have MarShon Brooks.

Doubtful, if there's arguments or someone not buying into his system they won't be playing. He shipped out a good scorer in Marcus Thornton because he wasn't buying into Monty's system, etc.

I don't see the reason to label this a disaster yet, this group has yet to even play an NBA game together.

I think people are overplaying the Austin Rivers "diva" thing and underplaying the fact that the kid has the utmost respect for Monty, since they grew up together and he knew him as a boy.

I never implied it being a disaster. I see Rivers adjusting like Westbrook did his rookie season. High turnovers the first year and steady improvement. I mean the kids dad did play the position and I know they will talk with each other during the season or off-season.

Part of me hopes the European guy the Hornets got the rights to comes over, have the ugliest front court in the NBA

Last part wasn't directed toward you, I agree with you for the most part. I don't think the kid is gonna be a traditional PG if that's his position in the NBA but someone like Westbrook who's more of just a guard.
