Who knows if Rose will be back this upcoming season. But even if he isn't, I don't see why the future isn't bright for them. If the Bulls have a bad season, they will get a high draft pick. If they have a good season, Derrick Rose could be a boost later in the season.

I agree this has been blown out of proportion. And had Rose not torn his ACL then we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Fans, as well as me, are frustrated that the Bulls appear afraid to spend and we are just sitting around doing nothing while the other big markets/contenders aside from the Thunder are active.

Knicks? Lin, Camby, Kidd, Smith, Novak, Copeland, Prigioni
Nets? Johnson, Williams, Lopez, Wallace, Teletovic, R. Williams
    Heat? Allen, Lewis
    Lakers? Nash
Celtics? Terry, Green, and looking at others
Spurs? Duncan, Green, Diaw, Mills, de Colo
    Thunder? Quite usual self lol
Clippers? Odom, Crawford, Billups, Blake Griffin Max deal

But I don't think it is the doomsday it appears to be, it's just frustrating since we're the only big market afraid to spend

Oh you're definitely still crazy. You thought/think we can net a top five pick in a deep draft for Deng or Noah. That plan is just as insane as trying to bank on free agents again to come here in two years.

Yeah, about the top 5 pick trade. I think on ESPN someone just suggested it as good trade for both sides, but it was never actually rumored.

No way that Noah and the 29th gets you Evans and the 5th pick IMO

So I see McGee and DeAndre Jordan get 40 and 50 mill a piece. The NBA...

The Nuggets have offered JaVale McGee a 5-year, $50 million contract, a source confirmed.

McGee, a 24-year-old center, averaged 10.3 points and 5.8 rebounds in 20 regular-season games played for the Nuggets last season

McGee and his representatives are expected to continue to negotiate with Denver.

Calderon deal could happen by tomorrow. Seems like teams are waiting to see who gets Brand(or just how much he'll go for), before seeing if they're interested in Calderon.

Brand is going to highest bidder, but will he play for Toronto if Raptors get him?

Or could this be an Alonzo Morning type of thing all over again, where Raptors get him, and he didn't want to play for them. Or could be Jermain O'Neal type of thing where he never played like how the Raptors wanted him to play.

Is Toronto the front runner to get him? I thought I heard about Dallas really looking into him.

Don't know if they're the frontrunner, but isn't it just the highest bidder gets him?

I mean, I'd imagine it is, but he did express his personal interest in playing with Dallas. But again, with this year's FA you never know...

I think he could be a good fit on LAL's bench playing backing minutes for Gasol and Bynum.

The even more funny thing about it? The fact that it says he and his agent are going to continue negotiating with Denver. Ummm....dude you're already at overpaid status with the deal they're offering. What else is there to negotiate? At this point, take the deal get your undeserved money and keep it moving before Denver realizes how stupid they are.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him go Sprewell and talk himself out of best deal available for him.
