I don't think Knicks fans have seen Felton in POR and the end of Denver. $ wise good deal, but it's not an upgrade.

That's all I would caution about.

NY not overpaying Lin may be the best thing for them. We don't know even what he truly is... Also what the hell is Houston doing? Enjoy overpaying for New York's and Chicsgo's questionables.

A part of me wants to match Lin for 2 reasons:

        1.) To spite Frank Isola

2.) To spite Houston and force them to start Toney Douglas at PG

But really, it wouldn't bother me if we match him or don't. Knicks are going throwback and I can dig it. Imagine playoff games in the Garden this season. It's gonna be insane.

P.S. Still won't be surprised if we match Lin

          Now you tell me.

Finally a move that I can be proud of by the Knicks.

The Knicks also acquired 2 Euro players from POR for a 2016 2nd round pick.

Basically use the full MLE on Mayo, and everyone else signs for vet min.
I definitely would be cool with that. Though of course, knowing the Bulls they'll match Asik and then follow that up something like extremely underwhelming.

Good move for NYK not matching Lin, but the keys to the O in Felton's hands, ha.

Hopefully not man... unless they're packaging Noah for some Tier 1-2 scorer than resigning Asik is pointless.

Felton never wanted to be traded away from the Knicks.

He was playing the best ball of his career.

I honestly don't care what he was doing in DEN and POR.

And to say he is not an upgrade is extremely premature because no one knows what Lin is. His body of work is too small.

Off the court..he's a cash cow.
                  On the court..he's unproven.

I'm not setting aside a guaranteed $25M for a kid that has not shown that he can play up to that contract.

The Knicks have operated like that for years and it appears that they might finally be getting wiser.

Don't like it. Don't think Felton's that good. Don't see how it's a good fit when Woodson has spent the last few days talking about how guys have to be ready to go for the start of camp, can't use camp to get in shape. Even his first time in NY Felton used the first month of the season to get in shape. And I don't care about Dolan saving money. Which is the only advantage of letting Lin go. Frees up no cap room.

Still holding out hope that the Knicks will match. Knicks needed another guard anyway. Maybe they figured giving Felton and Kidd time at the 2 was better than picking up some scrub SG for the minimum.

Not sure I even like the Jeffries for Thomas swap. I think Jeffries is the more versatile player, and can guard more types of players.

Hearing one of the international players the Knicks are getting the rights to is John Diebler, a sharp shooting SG from what I reading.

Match Lin for what reason? Why should we pay Jeremy Lin $25M?

I thought that was always the case? At least with the real hoop guys... the fact he played for the Knicks helped pump his value/hype x100. If he was in Charlotte it would be Lin who and he would be barely be getting over CJ Watson money right now.

Houston offering him that much is desperation to me. They should have pursued Dragic. Failed on that. McHale/Lowry relationship was fixable but Houston said forget it and pretty much gave him away to Toronto. Are they trying to live off the Yao/China hype? I dunno... I always like Morey but what's going on in Houston is baffling to me unless this is part of some huge scheme.

Just read if the Knicks don't match Lin, Shump will be our only player under 25 . The 3 year plan is real ladies and gentlemen. If it doesn't happen, we're basically starting over as an expansion team.

                                Because I think he's good.

And because the only negative is Dolan has to dip into his pocket more.

Are we now concerned about Dolan and his money?
