Mayo and Beasley are solid scorers, but we're talking about two guys that came off the bench the past few years (at least it's seemed that way). Same can be said about Dragic, except he's more of a solid all-around guy rather than just a scorer, but he was also very inconsistent.
Agreed on Mayo and Beasely, but whoa on Gortat...

He has a diverse post game, good footwork, can finish with either hand and is a very mobile center. I believe he even has a short jumper? He's one of the better offensive centers in the league IMO

Who are the top 5 offenses in your opinions?

      I have

      Heat
      Thunder
      Spurs
      Maybe the Lakers?

You're VERY wrong. Besides, even if he WAS all "pick and roll", Dragic finds players the way Nash does, and Marshall has great court vision.

Gortat is very polished in the post and is getting better and better by the game.

A Suns unit with Dragic, Mayo (doubt they get Mayo), Beasley, Scola, and Gortat would be very nice offensively. The team would have a very solid bench either way, with guys like Marshall, Telfair, Morris, Frye, and Dudley.

You don't need stars or elite players to be a top offense. You need offensive players, which the Suns would have 5 of on the court at the same time. No other team in the league can put out as dynamic of an offensive lineup as the Suns would.

The Heat and Thunder have 3 offensive players and a bunch of role players and defensive players. The Suns would have 5 offensive players.

I could easily see that team being the number one offense in the game under Alvin Gentry.

Dragic and Gortat are pretty good defenders too. Mayo is OK. Beasley is a sieve, and Scola just flops.

As long as they can rebound the ball (which they'd be able to with such a lineup), they'd be fine enough on that side of the ball.

              According to Synergy Sports:

Ranks 111th in scoring in the post
              Ranks 234th spotting up
              Ranks 135th on cuts
Ranks 119th in scoring off offensive rebounds
Ranks 10th in pick and roll

He's almost identical in rankings to Joel Anthony offensively. In every one of those categories.

Obviously Synergy Sports stats are completely pointless then.

Honestly, these sorts of stats don't take into account the system these players are in...

Ever since his days in Orlando, it was evident that his offensive skillset was a good contrast to Dwight's dominant defensive yet limited offensive game.

Ever think that might be because the Suns mostly only gave him the ball in the pick and roll?

Nope. Pick & Rolls made up 33% of his plays, but 18.5% came from posting up, and about 21% came on cuts, and he still sucked at both.

I know you didn't. I'm making the comparison. Felton could have been not very good last year but Lin wasn't very good once things died down as well.

In other words, I rather the team pay less for a guy that might produce the same as the more expensive alternative.

I don't like it either but it tends to go that way more often than not, if consistently shooting for the 4 seed and exiting by the second round every year is your thing then that's fine but after a while you're either going to have to land a star or blow it up.

The Hawks are the prime example of this, they had a lot of good players but unfortunately in the NBA a lot of good players won't win you a championship.

I would love to see Phoenix make some noise out West, I just don't see it with this group of players, right now they're the 4 seed best case, if some of those many draft picks can be impact guys they may be in good shape but with most of those picks being late odds are they'll land more guys that are capable of being good NBAers but not stars, hopefully they will because like I said I would like to see the Suns have some success I just don't see it with this core in todays NBA.
