Felton wasn't going to be here until this past week. The plan (as far as I know) was never to have 4 PGs. Lin was supposed to be the starter backed up by Kidd and Pri.

SG still hasn't been addressed. And if it wasn't for the emotional Felton signing...we'd have more money for the SG position.

We still don't know if they will match HOU for Lin.

I think until Shumpert comes back...James White backs up the SG spot. Remember they had Landry Fields playing SG when he's a natural SF. White is probably the same case.

Novak and Chris Copeland will back up Melo. I assume Copeland might see time at backup PF but he is incredibly skinny.

I assume Kurt Thomas backs up Amare.

    PG- Felton/Kidd/Pri (Lin?)
    SG- JR/Shump/White
    SF- Melo/Novak/Copeland
    PF- Amare/Thomas
    C- Chandler/Camby

Thank you. I forgot about Kurt Thomas.

David Aldridge: Nets likely to finish assembling roster by going after either C Ryan Hollins or Nazr Mohammed as backup for Brook Lopez.
      Ryan Hollins??

Something to think about when wondering why a player wouldn't want to go to a great team or play with a great player. Puts a little human element to it. NYC isn't for everybody. It'd be too bad if he bounced though. He fits in well with that team they have now.

I don't think that's Blatche. He thinks he's a beast so he's going to try to get paid.

In all seriousness, Baltche going to the Heat would be as worst/awful as Juwan Howard and Eddy Curry "getting a ring" in Miami. No need for any team to reward this fat, lazy bum. He's the NBA Version of Albert Haynesworth basically.
Al actually earned his shot at that $100 million dollar contract though. He was the best at his position in the NFL going into that contract. Blatche hasn't been the best at anything on the basketball court anywhere but in his head.

Thing is, Blatche already has all of that guaranteed money, anything he gets is just icing.

Plus it's not like a team is going to pay him much before he proves himself on the court..

Yeah Hollins is the worse. His roll is basically to come in and hack as much as possible.

That fat, lazy slob doesn't even deserve to lick the icing off the knife(not that I'd want to see that of course ).

Wwharton, you're missing my point though. Even before Haynesworth got paid, there were stories out there that even once he got paid, he'd slack off and would not work as hard and that turned out to be exactly the case. Of course I know the situations of HOW they got paid are different, but the personalities of the two aren't different and never were.

I feel you. I'm just saying Fat Al proved that he could perform on that level if he really wanted to. Blatche acts like he's on that level, has never proved it AND went straight to slacking after showing glimpses of just being decent. As much as I hate Al, he doesn't deserved to be mentioned in the same breath as this guy, lol.

But I'm with you, both of their personalities are the same. No doubt about that.

Jermaine O'Neal working out for Lakers right now. He had the Kobe Germany procedure and says he has no pain in his knees anymore. A Jamison-ONeal backup front court would be good for their bench.

Its funny, A lot of these guys are the right situation away from being that "feel good" story about how much they matured, got their head on straight etc...whether that was actually the case or not....lol

They can't be any worse than the dynamic McRoberts/Murphy tandem we shocked opponents with last year.

Must be from LA hyping O'Neal up like this.

And does anyone know if Bynum went and got the same knee procedure in Germany?

Yeah he was scheduled to and I believe he has already been but I;m not sure of the exact date.

Also If O'neal doesn't work out, I saw Rasheed Wallace able to walk up and down the court at NC Pro-am last week. Heard he was still available for the vet min

I'd go with John Salley. He's got a ton of experience in that specific role.
