Does it make a difference if he gets it done now as opposed to waiting til September? If it doesn't, then I guess I can understand why he's decided to wait.

I think he'd be able to play the day after getting it and he'd just be getting better everyday.

Edit: when they spin the blood they heat it so it thinks its having a fever and releases the anti-inflammatories

Wonder why Players fly all the way out to Germany to get it done instead of getting it in the States?

This offseason has the potential to be looked at as a huge failure if things don't fall right. Here's to the 3 year plan!

No. But there may be some type of waiting list or something to get it done. I'm not sure.

And it's not FDA approved in the US yet because in the FDA rules it says your not supposed to manipulate tissue to a certain extent, and extracting and spinning the blood right now is breaking the manipulation of the tissue rule.

Some doctors, however, do it "behind the counter" or whatever it's called, but not many are public about it because they fear there could be legal action against them.

My dad may potentially get it for his back, but he said he'd go to Germany to do it because the doctors there have the best equipment and expertise for it compared to ones here.

        EDIT: A little more lol.

The german doctor who invented it believes that pain is caused by inflammation, and not the nerve being compressed. Which explains why when my dad has went in for an MRI on his lower back, the doctors have told him his back doesn't look to bad and they won't give him surgery because they say his back isn't in bad enough condition to perform surgery on. This goes along with the dudes theory that pain is caused by inflammation, which doesn't show up in an MRI, and that's why it's been so succesful for athletes (Kobe, Roy, A-Rod, Fred Couples, Jermaine O'neal) even though there is no surgery.

This is why I wanted the Bulls to get Roy so bad lol

I just want to point out that I think this is the best move the Knicks could have made.

I think Lin has talent, but I don't think he's as good as we want to believe.

And that's the last I'll say about him. Time to see if Felton shapes up and Kidd doesn't stumble as his wing man.

I agree. I like Lin and hope he does well, but the unknowns around him are probably bigger than Felton (no pun intended). For the amount of money it didn't make sense to me. I feel like letting him walk was the Knicks making a basketball decision instead of a business decision, which should be a good thing.

But letting him go doesn't do anything to help the team. They are capped out.

                This is either:
                1. A business decision- Knicks decided whatever revenue Lin brings in wouldn't make up for what that 3rd year costs.

                or

                2. Personal decision- Knicks are pissed how everything went down and decided not to match out of spite.

                Both suck.

Once it is official on Lin, Rockets will have to waive one player, wait 48 hours, then sign Omer Asik to offer sheet and begin that process.
                  Asik - HOU/CHI

EDIT: Go head Morey...troll yourself some more and waive Toney Douglas if Lin is so bad.

That is not a possibility because a week ago he was anointed the starter, and the Knicks had every intention to match. Half the Jason Kidd talk was about helping Lin, and Felton was available because nobody else wants him.

Or it could be a case of Lin not wanting to stay in NY and that his relationship with NY and even Melo isn't as good as people thought.

That was last week. Since then Houston altered the offer and Lin signed what they offered. Unless you believe the Knicks should've really matched up to a billion dollars, there has to be a line drawn somewhere... and the billion dollar talk and signing Lin to this offer, imo, would've been a business decision. If they believe either Lin or Felton have just as good a shot at running the team then this was the right move.

It's funny to make fun of Felton and maybe he doesn't bounce back. But he has skill and a track record to say he has just as much of a chance at being successful as Lin's 15 minutes give him (and in NY no less).
