Of course they're not staying the same, but even with them doing all this development and improvement and gaining experience yet the results are STILL the same even after all these years of doing that, then is the talent gap between us and the rest of the World really that close? LOL

This is not arrogance but considering we put a bigger emphasis on Basketball than other countries, then yeah we should beat the **** out of those countries, Now Soccer on the other hand...that's another story.

        Complain? No.

But we will nitpick the crap out of some things though. I do it with Football damn near all the time.

And you don't know how much emphasis other countries are currently putting on basketball. From what I can tell, the lesser countries in the past are improving at a rapid rate. They look very confident and very improved.

The gap is closing, I think that's very apparent. Not saying the US isn't the heavy favorite but to act like they should destroy everyone else not named Spain/Argentina.. that's a bit out there.

Yeah, that's all. It just doesn't hold my attention when every game is a blow out. And it's tough to really be proud of them if they end up winning a close game because that would be a massive disappointment.

Like, at least with hockey where Canada pretty much dominates, at least there's a few teams that can match up decently well each time. In basketball, no country is near America talent wise.

Edit: It just isn't exciting to me to watch games when there's really no excuse for not blowing the teams out. And I don't blame us for stacking our team because that's what you're supposed to do. I just won't watch once it gets out of hand.

I'll sum this up nicely. I want to win every single ****ing game. I don't care if we're beating Tunisia by 90 I want to win. Win dominatingly. Win so dominatingly other countries only watch to see us win. This is America no one cries when we were getting merked in Soccer or Badminton.

              Team America **** YEAH!

For the record, it's not that I'd be disappointed if we win or anything. One gold is just as good as another gold. I'll just flip the channel when it gets bad. I'm not rooting for us to fail. But there has to be a threat of failure to get me to want to keep watching.

And yet the results are still the same. That can't be argued since the evidence is right in front of you. Again, you can say they've all improved all you want and say they "look confident"(which was not even being questioned)...but if the results are the same from '92 to '96 to '00 to '08 and so far '12, then two things are happening: Either they're not improving enough or we're improving THAT much, otherwise we shouldn't be having these 20-30 pt wins like we've been having, am I wrong?

I never said anyone was wrong, I said you sound arrogant. Lol

If you can't look at the past decade and realize the gap is closing, I can't tell you anything else. How much has the gap closed? I don't know. To say that the USA should beat the **** out of everyone? Sounds like a bit much.

I'll just wait for this Summer to finish out to see how far the world has come. but in the next 20 years, I expect it to close that much more.

Download & watch most of the games I want to later in the day. I only watch a few games live per week, like the ones I'am really excited about or when I get insomnia. Watched a lot of Lakers's live last season though. Kobe getting old got me into it.

e/ Sorry not on topic though.

I really didn't like either watching USA v France, not because we got blown out, just because it was boring. Im starting to like watching Women's basketball a lot. Ball movement is way better there.

One thing that puzzles me with FIBA rules is how are you supposed to defend the post when you get a whistle if you barely touch the guy backing down?

I mean Kobe or Lebron could foul out everyone by posting people up & get 40 freethrows per game.
