Good win for the Lakers. Excellent defense in the 4th quarter. Karl Malone was rockin it all night long. It seems he matched up well with Tim. He is very physical with him and bodies him up really well. I liked the move he did on Duncan in the 4th. When Manu was trying to make an entry pass, Karl just backed off a bit, and Tim fell down. Karl then stole the ball. Great vet move.
GP is great. Kobe was eh. Shot too many times, or better yet, missed too many times. George was on fire. He was just hitting everything everywhere. And Shaq, well what can I say about the fat one? He didn't do it on the offensive side of things, but he definitely held his ground on the defensive side. 15 boards and 9 swats. It was awesome. Intimidation baby!!!!
Now the Spurs. I dunno what it is. Maybe the leadership isn't there or something, cause these guys can't seem to get it together. They've now lost 4 in a row and are sitting at the bottom of the midwest divison. They are the first team to hit 10 losses in the west, the Suns followed them up later in the night. They definitely miss all the vets that were on the team last year. The defense isn't there, and the ball movement for the open looks aren't there. They better start working things out. At least within the next month or two.
Once again, good win for the Lakers. Next up on the Texas two step, the Dallas Mavericks. I don't think Dirk is playing tonight. Anyone know?
