If Dallas didnt shoot so many damn jump shots they might get to the line more often.

yea, that's because the shaq rule wouldn't allow them to do it after 2:00
I bet you agreed with Steve Kerr's assessment on the Jamison traveling call???

yea, the Shaq rule. That is another example of the NBA catering to the Lakers. They changed the freakin rulebook for them. That rule had only been around, oh i dont know...SINCE THE NBA HAS BEEN IN EXISTENCE. Who cares, the rule hurt Shaq and the lakers so they just figured they would change the rule 3 years ago.
and no, i disagreed with Kerr. I felt that was traveling by Jamison. I also felt it was traveling by Kobe when he freakin came down with the ball IN HIS HANDS and proceeded to take it back up to the rack (traveling wasnt called in that case, of course)

Didn't they add the 5sec back to the basket rule because of mark jackson and charles barkley. they make these rules because players/teams abuse parts of the game, and the higher powers want the game to be played the right way.....another example is Zone defense......which promotes team ball.....and don't forget about the breakaway foul, which rewards players who were guaranteed two pts in the open floor.Comment

Re: Lakers vs. Mavs Part II
Please, Dallas is just a soft no heart team. Nash and Najera are the only guys trying to mix it up and compete. Bradley actually took a 17 footer. What a joke, blame your coach for his failure to adapt a winning gameplan against the Lakers, dont blame the refs on your home floor. Only losers use the refs as excuses for their constant failure. You think the referee association hasnt heard the accusation? They probably try not to call fouls in favor of the Lakers due to all the attention losing teams have placed in their direction.
And to the poster who talked about playing the Lakers in the playoffs, you do realize that the Mavs are like 3 - 50 against the Lakers right? Your best bet is to be on the other side of the playoff bracket.Comment

I don't disagree with anything you said. But, this team's been together for less than 20 games. And they aren't hall of famers like payton and malone and the other two.
And I'd like to say that with Dirk, they'd stand a better chance but all signs of that point to 'no'.
And another thing, I am tiring of Nelson vs the Lakers. Of course, nobody's beating the lakers right now, but it seems like Nelson isn't airing out all his options. And getting thrown out of the game isn't going to work anymore. These guys aren't stupid, they know why he does it.I'm sofa king, we Todd Ed.Comment
