Chalmers never flopped. He did what any person would do: avoid getting hit. Garnett picked up the foul because he purposely threw an elbow towards Chalmers and in true Garnett fashion he acted like he didn't do anything.

Side note: I like Kevin Garnett but he's still a ****.

Ahhhh I see what your saying. But he doesn't hit him. And for some reason isn't even close. But yea, your right though. Anyone would of have dodge that if they saw an elbow coming their way.

Another thing I didn't add DeMarcus Cousins. I just wish he brought it like that every night. I thought he would be another Eddy Curry. While I'm on Kings... What's up with Tyreke Evans? He's been slumping since the Speed racers thing last year. I'd like to see him drive more to the rim. And get more balance on that jumper. He's still fading away smh.

No, I'm serious. We're (Philly) are a middle of the pack offensive club, if that. You beat us twice in two days -- bad matchup for us with no real time to actually study our mistakes. Both games felt the same to me.

The Miami game, to me, felt rigged. The Heat came out extremely flat -- Bosh, Wade, and James just went thru the motions. Didn't help that NY shot them out of the building from distance. Miami looked like they didn't even wanna be there.

I mean, its a great start if you really wanna call it that. Shutting us down isn't really a hard thing to do. I mean, we were 29th in points per game last season lol.

I understood it that the refs called the foul because they thought there was contact. Maybe they saw Chalmers move his head and thought his head moved as a result of contact, but the video shows he moved it to avoid contact.

So I also agree with you that a foul shouldn't have been called. Then again, I guess you don't necessarily have yellow cards in basketball. The refs have to step in and say something to Garnett in that situation because it's clear what he was trying to do even if he wants to act like he wasn't.

So maybe the only recourse is to hand out a foul. This is one of those situations where I sometimes wish refs had a way to stop play and kind of just hand out a warning. Maybe they are allowed to do that but I never see it unless it's a non-basketball related incident like two guys scuffling.

I'm assuming because they have the ultimate playmaker in Rondo..and you can't go wrong there...

Before Rondo got the keys to the O, Ray got a lot more freedom it seems....he made a lot more plays in 2008....I remember his iso's and finishes that sealed the game in LA...

I know one thing, I used to hate when Boston would run that play for Allen where he goes through screen after a screen until the shot clock went down....most of the time Rondo would just end up taking a J at the top of the key...it's like they ran it just to say "here, we ran a play for you"

I don't expect that the Knicks will always be lucky enough to face a Sixers team that seemed to have no idea what to do on offense to buy a bucket. They were a mess offensively, this is true.

But defensively the Knicks looked great. No amount of bad offense can ignore the rotations, on-ball defense and help defense they were providing at a consistent rate.

The Knicks simply did not do that last year. And the talk of guys like Kidd being unable to stay with a defender were present against the Heat and Sixers. The difference is the Knicks were able to rotate quickly to recover and rather than having Kidd try to get to his man, he'd slide over to the offensive player his teammate just left alone.

When it happens three games in a row, the same intensity, the same results, I think it's hard to ignore that something is different, even if you don't think it's top of the league defense.

The Miami argument is a good one, but I will say that the Defense is much improved from last year. They simply weren't as cohesive last year as they are so far this year...

This NBA season needs to progress so I don't have to keep looking at Glen Davis avg 25.5 PPG.

When the Knicks win...everyone makes excuses for the other team.
When the Knicks lose, it's "same ole Knicks".

Miami game: I keep hearing they were flat, they were disinterested, etc, etc.
So how did they give up 116 points in 4 quarters to a Denver team with no scorers on it? The Knicks held them to 32 points less because of disinterest?

The Knicks have been up 20 points each game so far because Miami was flat and Philly is a poor offensive team? Philly started the game with an 11-0 lead last night.

How about the Knicks minimized Miami's fast breaking opportunities (Miami's strength) and they forced Philly into bad perimeter shots (Philly's weak point)?

                              I'm convinced of 3 things:

                              1. Miami only loses on their off nights because they are some unstoppable juggernaut with a switch to turn it on and off

                              2. Philly needs a day in between games to study and

                              3. Defensive execution is a myth.

I'm really surprised that The Spurs are 4-0 for the first time in their history.... With the number of 50+ win seasons they have I'm surprised it hasn't happened earlier.
