    Re: fire mike brown?

You think Mike Brown needed Kobe or Dwight to help him lose his job? I'm rofl right now.

    Unless you were being sarcastic.

    But no, just no.
I would take him if he had the right personnel on LA, but they don't.

At this point it has to be Sloan or Jackson. You need a veteran coach. I wonder if they would consider Jeff Van Gundy lol.

I don't think Sloan would ever coach another team. I'd be kind of shocked if he did.

(But wouldn't be the first time I been shocked)

Nate McMillan is another name that's circulating apparently.

Didn't he say himself that he wasn't retiring? Or am I mistaken.

So far it looks like Chuck Person will fill in.

I think Sloan would submit to Kobe though in a productive way, where they would push each other. I don't know if I want Nate at this point, but I've liked him.

@WojYahooNBA: Lakers ownership has made it clear that buying out Brown's remaining $11M-plus and investing in new coach now won't be issue, sources say.

Brown should throw up 2 middle fingers on his way out the door.

Yeah, I don't think that is a situation he wants to get himself in to. Especially how his tenure ended in Utah.

Was just commenting on the insinuation that D'Antoni was a better coach.

Lakers need to troll extra hard and bring in SVG.

Sad part is, he'd be great for this team.

D'Antonio is not the answer for LAL, but wow at LAL for firing Brown this early. The coach will always be a part of the blame for a teams struggles, but you got to look at player personal as well. Nash and Dwight are still not healthy, and they have a weak bench. Struggling a little should have been expected, but not 1-4. Should be interesting to see who they get, Sloan will help them, but unless players get healthy or their bench starts producing, they will still struggle.

Man if they get rid of Brown and trot D'Antoni's *** in there thinking it's gonna make a difference. Kobe's knees are going to fall off his body with D'Antoni.

Too bad for Brown. He can't even go back to ESPN. Last Dwight Howard coach that tried to get a job there didn't work out so well....though maybe the NBA doesn't hate him as much.

11 mil for 5 games and a bit of offseason work = no complaints from me if I'm Mike Brown, still would walk outta there with the two middles held up saying "got your 11, here's mine for you".

My question is who though? How many guys would want to step in right now?

Unless the Lakers got a confirmation from another top coach that they would pick him up. Then I don't see the reason for firing Brown then.
