Randolph, Gasol and Gay are all studs and would start on most teams. Z-Bo is a top 5 power foward and top 20 overall player when healthy. They aren't built anything like the early 2000's Pistons, who had Chauncey Billups and Ben Wallace as their two best players (neither was a top 30 player, IMO).

Kobe reverted back to his old ways tonight [LA relied way too much on him] and coach didn't do squat about it. This stems back to the Sacramento game as well. Pau had one of those nights where he was just going to drift near the three point line so D'antoni sat his *** down in the 4th.
Outside of the non-rebounding from Dwight, he simply was ignored on the offensive end of the floor. That is unacceptable and falls on Kobe and the coach.
Please Lord give them Nash back hopefully he'll be able to keep the ball out of Kobe selfish hands..

Have fun with this guy, Lakers fans. Already seeing some of the crap that I didn't like about D'Antoni.
When asked whether Gasol is being aggressive enough when he catches the ball on the perimeter, D'Antoni shrugged and said, "I don't know. You have to talk to him. He is what he is. Pau will make some shots. Pau will be fine."
The infamous D'Antoni go-to. Never knows what's going on. Things will be fine so stop asking.
Get used to it because if Gasol is already unhappy about how he's being used in the system, it's only going to get worse.
D'Antoni simply doesn't know how to utilize post players. He's trying to make Gasol into a pure jump shooter. Ah, man. I just can't wait to see the Lakers fans that start hating on Gasol for his poor performances instead of seeing how he's being used.
The Lakers are gonna owe a lot of money to coaches in the next couple seasons."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. I read that Pau is upset because he's getting wind that he may be traded. Doesn't this happen every single year with him?
But yeah. That "I don't know what's wrong with them" speech has started quite early from Pringles.
Dwight can't be happy with a guy like MWP consistently getting more shots than him in that offense. I think Pringles is just buying time for Nash to get back.Comment

Re: 11/18 - 11/25 Game Discussion Thread
Rudy Gay, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol are about as close to superstars as you're gonna get in this league. Very special players and could all be all-stars/Olympians. They aren't franchise type guys but there aren't too many of those anyway. I'm not sure I agree with that comparison at all.You looking at the Chair MAN!

Pau has been a jumpshooter for 2 years now. He has some games where he's aggressive again but that doesn't last long.Comment

We will see, I guess. I'm trying to be civil about it and patient. Just reading D'Antoni's comment irked me because it's ridiculous to me to hear a coach say that, and he always does it."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. lol I can only imagine his list of demands if they actually go back to him....
-His own jet separate from the Team
-A Statue outside of Staples Center
-Salary equal to what Kobe makes
-Jim Buss must wear a collar and sit on all 4s on the sideline during games and be fed dog foodComment
