    Anderson Varejao is an All-Star

    14.5 PPG
    14.9 RPG
    3.2 ASTS

In roughly 36 minutes per game.

I know with the NBA removing the Center spot, he won't be voted in on a ballot, but just prepare yourself when teams are announced. Anderson Varejao is maybe the best center in the NBA*.

He's playing very, very great, and he's playing like a Top C this season - I personally think he should be an All-Star this year...

However...Cleveland's record will hold him back. There are rarely any players that get onto the All-Star team with their team at a sub .300 record.

He definitely should be an All-Star. But best Center in the NBA?

          I laughed.

Impressive stats soo far. I can't think of another center thats performing better. I'll keep my eye on him.

Definitely balling. Not the most talented center, but I'm not sure who's playing better at the 5 right now....

He's definitely worthy of an All-Star vote (so far).

I think Marc Gasol is the better overall center though. It's a shame he's playing with Zach Randolph (Who's averaging 13 RPG....), as otherwise I think he'd be averaging 20 PPG, 10 RPG, and 5 APG instead of 15 PPG, 6 RPG, and 4.5 APG.

Gasol is playing well, no doubt, but Andy dominated when he played against the Grizzles the other night.

Andy is more skilled than most thought, especially now that he has developed a jump shot of some kind.

But for his hustle, defense and passing ability, he's a very skilled big man.

Al Horford ballin with a better record.

Horford scores a little more, but Andy is a significantly better rebounder. Andy is also a better defender.

Re: Anderson Varejao is an All-Star

He is playing damn good ball right now and is one so far but it is too early to say he will be just yet. We still have the whole month of December and Janurary before the teams are decided. What happens if his numbers drop way off?? Is 15 games enough to lock someone in as an all star?? I say no.

Now if he keeps up these numbers he should be in no questions asked. The hell with whatever their record is if he is still putting up 15 and 15 in Feburary he should be in.

I'd take Marc Gasol anyday. If the Olympic Gold Medal game didn't have a gazillion whistles in it, I'm not sure we wouldv'a came out with the gold.

Tim Duncan, especially if you like per-minute production.
