Re: Cousins or Monroe
Monroe but Cousins w/ some veterans to keep him in his place would work.Last edited by InthePaint; 11-30-2012, 04:13 PM.Comment

Re: Cousins or Monroe
I've always liked Cousins. But I agree with the above post. He needs some babysitting. I'll take Monroe at this point and time.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Cousins or Monroe
I two more seasons I wonder if Monroe will breakout.
Detroit is still in shambles.
I wonder if they can get a PG to feed him.
Should he and Cousins dedicate themselves to the Center position at this point in the NBA where the traditional back to the basket player is being "phased" out?
Both of them need nuturing and Post play tutalege.
In the end they could just pan out to be regular good players like Jefferson and Perkins.Comment

Re: Cousins or Monroe
I think Monroe has the potential to be really good. I think Cousins has the potential to be special. Basketball is about difference makers so I say Cousins. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: Cousins or Monroe
He has the potential to be special,, but it remains to be seen if he will ever get anywhere near it. As of now I think Monroe is the easy pick. If Cousins ever can reach his potential, it's Cousins no doubt.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: Cousins or Monroe
Monroe. I will never take the headcase, no matter how physically gifted or skilled they are. Now I absolutely loathe, loathe low BB IQ players, but I will even take them over a loose cannon.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Cousins or Monroe
Cousins.
Wish he'd have better shot selection though. Oftentimes he'll settle for the jumper when he has the physical advantage over his defender to just go past him.
Of course he doesn't get any calls when the defense collapses the paint (which they do everytime he gets the ball. It's not like we have any shooters beside Brooks, Thornton, Fredette, and Thomas) though, so that contributes to the low percentage too.Comment

Re: Cousins or Monroe
Headcases can sometimes be the right personality u need to for a team.
Now in Cousins case hes the dominant personality on a young team. Either a strong coach or a more dominant superstar can buffer cats like him.
Dennis Rodman, Vernon Maxwell, Metta World War, and Rasheed Wallace were integral to their teams chips.
Xavier McDaniels, John Starks, Steve Jackson, and Kenyon Martin did pretty well. Andrew Bynum shouldnt be leading the lockeroom.Comment
