I'm curious to know what exactly did Tyson learn from working with Hakeem over the summer.

Forget protecting the paint, the settling for jumpers is frustrating.

Chandler looks pissed out there and I don't blame him.

My understanding is he had one day of workouts. The problem also is the Knicks don't let him post up to try any moves.

Every time he tries to post, his point guard tells him to set a screen.

This is terrible. And lol @ Lin getting absolutely no calls unless he gets murdered. We just don't match up well with Houston. They're too quick and too athletic.

Question: How does Mike Woodson determine who plays?

Does he have the "Either you play Defense or you don't play" mindset?

I don't think he does. This is not me suddenly not liking Woodson, but I do wish he would be more strict about playing defense.

It seems to me that he believes everyone can play solid D if they try. Not gonna argue against that. It's not a bad philosophy; it just means you won't sit because of bad D. At least I haven't seen him do that.

What really frustrates me about this game, only Copeland seems to be willing to drive consistently and he's having a solid game scoring points.

Everyone else wants to shoot jumpers.

And while the defense hasn't been great, it's hard to stay in a game when you can't score and you're constantly in a bad position after an outside shot clanks off the rim.

I guess if people are wondering what happens when the Knicks can't shoot, look at this game. Unfortunately, with no Melo or Stoudemire, I'm not sure they have anyone that is willing to score inside.

In defense of Woody, he doesn't really have many options. For the most part, the bench is full of solid defenders. However with injuries, he's had to play everyone. He does pull guys for bad D, though. He's benched JR Smith a few times for mental errors on D. But he does believe that anyone can be a good defender. I kinda do like that he gives each player a chance to prove his worth out there, though. Something D'Antoni never did.

As far as this game goes, I think everyone was a little turnt up in anticipation for Jeremy Lin. Felton did it last time we played Houston, tried to go one-on-one too much. And JR was hot early but looked like he wanted to prove something to Harden. That killed our ball movement and stagnated our O.

The NBA needs to do something to make division games or "rivalry" games mean something because it really makes no sense for us to be playing the Knicks for the 3rd time in almost 3 weeks.

I get that the first meeting was postponed but in the future, I hope they spread them out over the course of the year.

Rockets just have the Knicks number. Felton acts like it's an NBA Finals game when he sees Lin. When Felton presses and tries to do too much, we struggle.

BTW, does Harden have another moves besides the euro step? It's all I ever see from him. Highly effective but you know it's coming every time.

Boy the Rockets put a whoppin on us again tonight. I really hope Camby can get back soon because I'm tired of watching players drive in the lane all day long without being afraid.
