Ive been hearing how it didnt work before so they shouldnt try it again.

But wasnt that failure during Mike D'Antoni's run? With Shumpert, Bibby, and Tony Douglass at the Point?

Couldnt Melo sacrifice 3 to 5 Isos for STAT to get off with some PnRs and some Low Post dumps?

Stat is by no means a great defender but c'mon he isn't just awful like people say.. And as far as rebounding goes, if he is playing PF 8-9 boards a game is fine..

You already have an elite rebounder and rim protector in chandler, and when Chandler goes to the bench I'm guessing Amar'e will move down to C.. He would be the best back-up center in the league.

He has two good PGs.. One he has already shown to play very well with before and another who any player could play with.

Yup. I don't really understand the concerns on offense.

As far as defense, yea Amare is really bad, but people are going a little nuts with how much of a negative he could be. I mean, we are playing Novak 25 minutes a night and still playing pretty good defense. He'll take some of those minutes. Rebounding, again he's not a great rebounder, but he's better than a lot of what we have playing now. If and when STAT, Sheed, and Camby all get healthy at one time than deciding the best way to spread out those minutes will be a challenge, but it's a good problem to have.

Yeah, me personally, I wasn't saying Amare will collapse the entire structure of the NY defense...but it's beyond being a bad one on one defender with him....he's historically been bad with rotations and in general not shown any initiative on D...even Novak at least gets himself in the right place to defend...

Hey could prove me wrong, but this the biggest negative I could possibly see

Don't know if I'd go that far in calling him the best backup C in the league. Not that it would say much anyway.

I wouldn't count on getting much if anything this year from Camby and Wallace. Age and injury are not a good combo. Anthony creates a lot of match up problems where he is playing now I am not moving him in favor of a guy who is coming off major injury. I would just use Stoudemire to spell Anthony.
