Yes he needs more touches down low, but he also has to man up a little bit, or be benched the time he recovers from his knees injury or whatever other injuries he has because he just isn't performing at a high level right now wether it is defense or offense.

Talent is overrated. Right now it's about the hustle. Hill isn't as talented as Gasol but right now I'd take him over Gasol to start games. Because Hill hustles. He's hungry for rebounds, he has legs, he make the other team works inside.
i respect the numbers your throwing out, but again its just raw data to me because im not sure of the context involved. and again its not just scoring with pau, he brings a certain level of intelligence, skill and playmaking ability to the post that dwight doesnt.

again just this summer pau was balling playing at a very high level. so maybe he is playing hurt right now idk, but i do know that what i saw this summer was real. pau was putting in work at the games and now he is not. im asking myself why is that.

i agree that pau is kinda whiny, but when is the last time you saw him post up? d'antoni has arguably the most skilled big in the nba shooting more 3pt shots than post up. something is wrong with this picture.

i understand your frustration, but until that changes im going to continue to point the finger at the coach 1st, then ill get around to the player.

you gotta understand that this is all new to me, the emotions of hating a coach. all i know is that i just want him gone.
    -----------------

and is anybody else frustrated that d'antoni keeps starting morris in the backcourt with nash? so not only are we undersized but thats another player on the court who cant shoot.

Pau has posted up. He did again yesterday. I'd say he posts up at least once per game. Definately not enough to get a rythm, I agree, but it's more than that. It is not the Pau Gasol from two years ago.

Right now changing coach woudn't do much good and I don't think it's to be expected. D'Antoni is definately bringing this team down by make them play a type of basketball that exposes the roster's weaknesses even more. Steve Nash is definately a great addition to the team but he needs to do even more. Lakers need to run the p'n'r, at this point we should be disgusted of the P'n'R. We should be tired of seeing Dwight finishing at the rim on a Steve Nash assist. It's far from the case.

L.A. Shoulda got embarassed one more time yesterday if Steve and Kobe didn't make a stand for the rest of the team and management. You think it doesn't coast Kobe to put up that kind of performances? My opinion is that everytime Kobe puts thoses numbers he burns one of his last tickets. He's like an old boxer delivering his lasts great punches. He won't be the same next season if he keeps playing that much. Yesterday he played the whole 4th quarter one more time. D'Antoni doesn't care about his health or the fact he is 34 years old. If he keeps playing at his rate he will be burned out come playoffs time.

I'am pretty sure D'Antonis feels good that his team 'ALMOST' won when they actually never had a shot until the Clippers started street ball. This season is a waste because he isn't going anywhere.

Yesterday Kobe has put up one of his top 20 best performances ever. When him and Nash where on a the bench the clippers went on a 15 - 0 run. How about you start watching the games instead of just hating on Kobe? What's the point?

How many times Kobe makes a great play for the team and see the guy throw up a brick? It happens 10 times per games.

The guy scored 38 points on 60% shooting while playing 43 minutes and guarding Chris Paul when everyone else minus Nash and dwight wheren't hitting anything. Yeah he has definately hurt the team. Ridiculous.
        Great post bro.

I just don't see Kobe getting burned out. He's been playing big minutes and putting up performances like this his whole career.

We can talk about offense all we want... If the Lakers score 105, they're still going to give up 115. Offense doesn't win championships, defense does. Mike D'Antoni has never been to an NBA Finals because of this reason. You won't have 7 Seconds or Less or Showtime in the playoffs... Until the Lakers figure out what the hell they're trying to do on defense, this team will float around .500 all year.

I would've said, I wish we'd just tank and get a good pick but what's this... We trade all our draft picks for absolutely no reason.

Sidenote: Did you know if Lakers had their first round draft pick (which they traded for that bum Sessions) from last year, Perry Jones III would've been available?

makes perfect sense think if you think about it. The more energy he spends trying to score all those points the weaker his defense seems to be. You are using an isolated game as an example, I'm using the entire season. I again never stated they lost cause of Kobe last night. I just stated the obvious which is that another game went by with him scoring a lot and the lakers lost. I don't need paragraphs about yesterday's game I didn't blame the lost on him. Now if you want to go ahead and blame everyone else except Kobe for the Lakers season thus far that's fine too.

In November, he missed nine free throws and the Lakers lost by two to the Indiana Pacers. The first game of the season, he missed 11 and the Lakers lost to the Dallas Mavericks by eight.
According to ESPN Stats & Information, Howard has taken nearly half of the Lakers' free throws in crunch time situations (defined as the last five minutes of a fourth quarter or overtime when the score margin is five points or fewer) and has converted on only 44 percent of his attempts.
With 11.1 seconds remaining in Game 4 of the 2009 NBA Finals, Dwight Howard had a chance to put the game on ice and bring the Orlando Magic right back into the series. He missed both free throws.
"the reason we lost is not my free throws" quoted howard after the Dec. 4th game.

He was right. Lakers didn't lose games because of his free throws. Besides D'Antoni could decide to bench Dwight when they go hacka on him. He's going to make 50% of them, you do the maths.

I think Mario is a better fit in the starting lineup. He fits perfectly with that roster. You don't need him to dominate the ball, he's a very good spot up shooter and always seems to show up during big games. Obviously I don't watch Heat games so don't know what happens on Wednesday nights against teams like the Cats or Kings but I've always liked Mario.

                              He's a winner.

I said this too. I'm surprised no ones giving him a shot. I'm baffled the Lakers didn't attempt to sign him either. Or Barbosa when they had the chance.
