Also doesn't help that Dwight Howard sucks lol
Just think, he was on the top of the Bulls coaching list after he left Phoenix. Thank goodness we dodged that bullet.

I guess they're THAT desparate for a story since they know the monster known as the NFL has the majority of everyone's attention for the next month.

EDIT: I will say that I find it ironic for CP3 to call out another team about their celebrations when just last year their bench was celebrating after every dunk they did. Or did we all forget about that?
CP3 called out another team for celebrating?

Yeah no ****. Although I don't think he was ever a serious contender. I think Collins was our first pick.

Either way, wouldn't touch that guy with a 10 foot pole, then OR now.

Yeah but....you can't fire Jim Buss. He IS the Lakers. You can only hope he gets better.

Meanwhile I'd never thought the the day would come where Donald Sterling would be the least despised Basketball owner in LA.

            According to him:

“The first time they beat us here, you would have thought they won the NBA Finals,” Paul [said]. “Then they beat us up there pretty handily, so we wanted to protect our home court. This was the third time we’ve played those guys at the end of a back-to-back, so we knew if we let them get out and run, we’d be in for a long night.”

My question for him is why is/was he so concerned with how they celebrated in that game? I'm sure that's not the first time in his career he's seen a team celebrate like "they won the NBA Finals".

Come on man. He, like any other athlete will remember things like that. If he were to bitch and whine about it after it happened you'd have a case. The Warriors beat them up twice, and then let the Clippers know about it, twice. CP3 didn't say anything to my knowledge or complain about the celebrating until after the third game. I don't see the problem with his quote at all, he wanted to make sure they weren't embarrassed for a third time and certainly didn't wanna see these guys celebrate again on their home floor.

I'm not questioning him remembering it nor do I have an issue with that part.

My point is that there was no reason to bring that up at all especially after the fact. It's real easy to say it now because you won but if they would've lost, he wouldn't have even brought it up at all.

Big difference between THAT and some fist pumps and screams after a dunk
you guys are completely missing my point.

this is my point, my only point and the reason for the cavs comparison.

all i was saying is that i wanna see this same level of fun having-clowning around-showing up your opponent when the tough times hit (most likely in the playoffs)

the comparison to the cavs came from the way they did all the clownary b4 and during games. bowling, taking pictures, dancing, etc. clearly its not a 1:1 comparison because the antics are different but the clownary aspect of it is the same to me.

noah didnt just call out lebron for an isolated solo. alot of ppl (not everybody) thought the clownary the cavs were doing pre-during-post game was disrespectful in general. (and obviously mark jackson thought the clownary the clips were doing was abit disrespectful as well)

then when playoff time rolled around and the cavs were facing hard times all the clownary was all but gone.

im not sayin they (clips) shouldnt be having fun, but when you show up your opponents in any way, and then when the turbulance hits and you dont show the same clownary, then atleast to me you seem like front runners.

so im saying to me the clippers have alil bit of a front runner feel to them like the lebron cavs. thats not an absolute truth on the clippers, thats just my perspective on them.

Those Cavs teams were something else though. I don't hate on them at all, because they put on a show every night. They were having fun and winning. No problem on my end. The name of the game is entertaining and doing things with style.

Now fast forward to today. When have you ever seen the Clippers do any of that sort of showmanship? Lol. They get hyped after dunks and scream but other than that, what have you seen out of them that would have you reference the LeBron era in Cleveland? Those Cleveland dudes were on some other level with their dancing and picture taking and this that and the other.

You really do sound like a sour Laker fan man, and if that's not the truth well it comes off that way. It's quite honestly sad that you would reach this much.

You sure? I thought D'Antoni was first choice, but since they missed out and he went to NY, Bulls then turned to Doug Collins and he was going to do it, but then he and Jerry mutually agreed not to go through with it and enter VDN.

Again, what have they done celebratory-wise to have you believe they are doing it more than other teams or that they are front runners? Point me in the right direction here, you seem to be singling out the Clippers. I've watched that team closely for the past two years and I haven't observed them to celebrate or do extra-curricular things more than any other team. They get excited after dunks but that's where it ends. If Blake or DeAndre Jordan were on another team and they did the same dunks, best believe those same teammates, even the old Spurs, would jump up off their bench and get hyped up.

This Mavs/Jazz game might have the feel of a playoff game. The Mavs need to come ready to play and get their **** together, they need to be treating this like a must-win, the Jazz are in a similar boat, every win is precious for those teams that are gonna be fighting for the lower seeds in the West.
