Hard to believe that D'Antoni is caging Nash up like this. He's more than a spot-up shooter, you know.

It's a weird predicament.

The other night Kobe had 14 14 and 9 and we won the game. I think Nash had 6 assists, but it was he most aggressive he's been, and he also scored 16. Today, Kobe's 13 9 and 8 and Nash has 10 points and we're still in the game.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Kobe pick and rolls with Pau and Dwight are more effective than with Nash, I will say that though.

EDIT: Now they're getting annoying just posting up Kobe on one side. Move the ball around smh. Stupid Antoni

They can't be giving the ball to Kobe in the high post everytime. It's just too predictable. Can't Nash run some plays too?

D'Antoni is basically saying that Nash isn't good enough to play the point for this team.

They can't be giving the ball to Kobe in the high post everytime. It's just too predictable. Can't Nash run some plays too?

Yeah, they're doing it way too much. The only time that works is when with Dwight and its a pick a roll, but even then they don't run it for like 5 minutes. They need to get back to moving the ball around. The start of the 4th quarter will be interesting since Kobe will be on the bench. So this'll come down to is if the bench can make some shots and hold the lead. Generally I like Pau with the 2nd unit rather than Dwight, since there's at least a scoring option on the floor if things don't go well, so hopefully Dwight can do his thing.

He could always pass people just forgot or just runs to the box score and say he can't pass

Kobe is a basketball savant, he can do anything he wants to do on the court, which is the reason people get frustrated with him jacking bad shots. He averages over 5 assists per game for his career. The "he never passes" thing gets taken a little too far with Kobe.

Have you guys noticed that Pau NEVER makes a shot when he has a guy closing out?

Everytime he has to speed up his release a little, it's a miss.

I think I'm starting to understand the root of my frustration in regards to Kobe...

He has these games like tonight and last night where you see him picking his spots. You can actually see him LOOKING for his TEAMMATES, as opposed to looking at the defenders on the floor (trying to find space to score).

And when he moves the ball this well, the Lakers typically play well and look worlds better.

Now had I never seen this out of Kobe, I probably wouldn't get as upset at "typical" Kobe. But seeing Kobes potential, and knowing what he is capable of, I cant help but get frustrated when he is limiting his game to just scoring.

Speaking of hook I'm surprised alot of big men haven't went to Kareem to teach them the sky hook
