So...you guys are going big.

So it's Lin, Harden, Parsons, and 2 seven footers in Motie and Asik?

That might create problems of floor spacing on offense, but who knows? Does McHale run that often or is Motie usually running the 5 off the bench?

Motiejunas doesn't really play until recently. He's a guy with a few post moves and can spread the floor.

I think Trob can beat him out, hopefully he can give the Rockets hustle and rebounds because Motie is soft and flails around when touched. McHale when he goes small will usually just play Parsons at 4 and Delfino at 3. He used to play Patterson at 5 some times when he goes small too so he may do the same for Motie.

I think Trob could come in and play backup PF and basically battle for minutes against Motie...it really just depends on if the Rockets decide to ever use Terrance Jones this year or not.

The Kings man ... just when I think they can't possibly make things worse they do. Houston STOLE Trob from the Kings and I feel are going to get a very motivated player when he reports in.

It is rare for the Rockets to ever give anyone a starting spot. Trob is going to have to earn it.

Donatas Motiejunas will start if not Parsons. McHale goes small a lot but I think Motiejunas will get the start before Trob and Trob will have to beat out Motie who the Rockets and most Rocket fans are really high on.

I question this trade by the Rockets, and if it does go through I do see Robinson getting the start.

Anyhow, Rockets won't make it to the Playoffs this year, I have a hard time seeing it happen. Yeah they are in the 8th but the Blazers can make a run at any time, heck even the Lakers might do something but even if they do hang on to the 8th seed...Early sweep.

Read somewhere that Suns Josh Smith talk is just Atlanta trying to create smoke so other teams will up their offers. Deadline is so crazy lol

I like this trade for Houston. Robinson still has potential and neither Patterson or Morris were playing great at PF. This also clears space for Motiejunas and Jones to get more playing time.

When is the last time the Rockets started a rookie? Not that he can't start and be capable but I seriously doubt it. They always make players earn minutes which is why pretty much every young player they have goes right to the dleague.

Any one making the 8th seed is getting swept or at most winning a game, two if they are lucky. But the Rockets have a pick obligation that they want to get out of the way and besides that, playoff experience goes a long way for players like Harden, Lin, and Asik.

Currently, I don't see Lin sticking around past next year. Is he really worth 15m in that 3rd year? No. He hasn't even done much this year but to be fair he has held it down I suppose...Harden can only do so much, and Asik, I like him a lot actually. Not a great scorer obviously but I think he can improve that a lot in the future.

Then Parsons is improving, but not a great scorer...The whole team is on Hardens back to be honest.

They need a bench, badly. 8th seed - I understand that too, but they could pull out a 1st round upset if they got their game together which currently, they don't. My main point was it would be stupid to see the Rockets waste a spot as I feel the Blazers would do more. Time will tell though.

Unless they move Parsons to the 4 they will have to. Robinson, Motiejunas, Jones, and White are the only power forwards on the roster and they are all rookies.

Really? Well if that's the case then that's not to bad.

Lin will improve a good bit, though I wonder how much considering he's not fully in his game of controlling the offense since that's what Harden does.

Does anyone know if it's possible for the Rockets to flip Robinson to Atlanta for Josh Smith? I was trying to figure out if it could work with the trade machine but couldn't get a deal to work.

Also, someone on twitter is claiming that Josh Smith's dad told him that he's going to Houston or Phoenix lol.

According to Sam Amico, Nets and Bobcats have agreed to Humphries-Ben Gordon swap. Nets waiting to see what happens with Josh Smith first though.
