Bill Simmons had a trade scenario of Monta Ellis for Danny Granger straight up. I thought that was a pretty good deal, not to throw more hooplah out there.

He also had one, Pau Gasol for Iguodala.

As dumb as it probably is, Nets need to do whatever it takes to get Smith.

It's not that he'll make them THAT much better, but at this point you've already spent all this money and have shown that you have no problem paying a heavy luxury tax so it's already too late to start being frugal with players/picks/money now.
