Yes! Al Jefferson does get overlooked. I will give him some credit

A couple people on here mentioned Tim Duncan's post game. Yeah , I guess it is comparable to Mchale's because everytime Timmy gets the ball all he does is one move- a hook shot.

Pau Gasol is not a threat in the post. That is laughable

Luis Scola should be in the conversation

No need to get all upset every time someone takes a perceived shot at your boys in Salt Lake.
        My mistake.

I wasn't upset, just slighted that Big Al is getting overlooked. Dude is a beast down low.

I wasn't fortunate enough to witness some of the basketball greats live, so I'm asking to get a better feel, so my question is:

          Kevin McHale or Hakeem Olajuwon

Olajuwon. They are about equal in terms of low post scoring but in regards to everything else(defense, passing, rebounding, etc) Olajuwon wins hands down.

Young Tim Duncan had a ton of move in his bag of tricks, but he's never relied on a hook shot as his primary move in the post. He usually likes to operate on the left block and uses a one-handed fading away shot - that with his advanced age is often blocked.

Oh no, I meant more so as far as the post game.

It's kind of a toss up. They are both very good at what they do even though it's different. The thing is this is what McHale was known for. Hakeem's "dream shake" has its own name, but he may be a top 10 player of all time to me and did plenty of other things well too... so it stands out a bit more for McHale but I'd say they're about even.
