That's true. It would have been hard for them to come back into the playoff picture anyways, even with Amare back. The west is even tougher this year than last, and they dug themselves a pretty big hole.

I'm thinking that Trybanski will just be a body to come in and take 6 fouls, that is all we really need in the East anyways.

LOL good one, Marbury has NEVER been a winner (how many playoff series has he won?), that Suns team he was on was FAR better than the Knicks are. He was Jealous of the media attention KVH got cause he was white (now he gets to see him again). All you got in this trade was a guy who is a big name who puts up numbers. He doesn't make his teammmates better, he's overly critical, and remember when he said that Amare is better than KG Yeah good one Starbury. I know you Knickerbocker fans are drooling cause he's a home grown star, but he is not your savior, the guys a prima donna who has never won anything substantial in his NBA career. IMO he commited career suicide the day he left Minnesota cause he wasn't the focal point of the team and of the media. Have fun with your headcase. Selfish, selfish player.

He's going from a very young team to a veteran laced team. I think if Marbury tries to pull that stuff on the Knicks, he will be benched quickly. So does this mean that Frank Williams will be moved to backup SG??

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post"> This was a total financial move, they WILL NEVER bench Marbury, he could come out and say he hates whitey, and that Jews should be thrown in ovens and he'd still be the main man in NY. He's gonna sell alot of tickets for the Knicks, and lots of merchandise. Marbury is gonna be the smae ol "me first" guy that he has been, just like he has been on every other team he's been on. But he is better than any PG that was on the Knicks roster. Sorry if I offended any Jewish people that was not my intent.

I see your point Maroon, but do the Knicks need Marbury to sell Knicks tickets or merchandise?? I don't think they do. Yes, Marbury is a homegrown player, but this is a city of 20 million who will see the Knicks given the opportunity and who continue to buy the merchandise although they have been down the last 2 years. Cheaney will bench Marbury if needed and I really don't see Thomas demanding that he play if Cheaney did bench him.
