LOL good one, Marbury has NEVER been a winner (how many playoff series has he won?), that Suns team he was on was FAR better than the Knicks are. He was Jealous of the media attention KVH got cause he was white (now he gets to see him again). All you got in this trade was a guy who is a big name who puts up numbers. He doesn't make his teammmates better, he's overly critical, and remember when he said that Amare is better than KG Yeah good one Starbury. I know you Knickerbocker fans are drooling cause he's a home grown star, but he is not your savior, the guys a prima donna who has never won anything substantial in his NBA career. IMO he commited career suicide the day he left Minnesota cause he wasn't the focal point of the team and of the media. Have fun with your headcase. Selfish, selfish player.

Damn, I'd rather them toss in another first rounder instead of Lampe, but that is just my opinion. Hopefully, Lampe can develop well with Phoenix and be a good player for them. I felt really bad for them on draft night.

The Knicks definitely got the better of the deal, but that's not to say that the Suns were stupid in making the deal, because that's not the case. The Suns likely realized that they weren't going to make the playoffs this season after Amare Stoudemire got injured or get that much better to become a factor in playoff time in the near future, so they decided to take the rebuilding route and start from scratch. So they did what they had to do: clean house. Stephon Marbury is gone, so now that gives Phoenix the opportunity to groom Leandro Barbosa now and also make room Milos Vujanic next season. Antonio McDyess's and Charlie Ward's contracts come off the books after this season. Plus the Suns got first-round picks out of the deal, so all was not lost for them. The deal makes sense for both teams.

He's going from a very young team to a veteran laced team. I think if Marbury tries to pull that stuff on the Knicks, he will be benched quickly. So does this mean that Frank Williams will be moved to backup SG??
