Re: Is Allen Iverson Gully or Just Crazy
I was about to make a thread: Does anyone think Allen Iverson should be traded?
Allen needs to learn to bite his tongue a bit more. I don't mind what he was feeling, but he's going about it the wrong way.
He made a comment about people not caring about him, but caring about the team more...and I was like WTF?
I like AI, but he's obviously not happy. And when he's not happy, he's a nuisance.
Trade him. It'll be the most unpopular move in town (I have some of those crazy Philly fans in my family in PA, so I know how they bleed for their teams). But, move him along.
I hate to bring this up, but I KNOW if Philly could get their hands on Kobe, they'd embrace him if he was in a 76ers uni. Make a push for him. Just a suggestion.Comment

Yup, I made a soft mention of this in another thread(I forget which one).
He's had this ongoing feud with 610 WIP sportsradio host and NBC 10 sportscaster Howard Eskin.
I'm gonna say this. Iverson is being a bitch.
Yup...a bitch. A woman. Female.
He's supposed to be all rough and tough and hard...but because some people question how dedicated he is to the team or to his craft, he throws a prissy fit about boycotting a radio show and gets mad at people in the organization.
It is nobody's fault except AI's that he still skips too much practice and sneaks around to do whatever he wants, or to make his point, he misses 10 games with a bruised knee when he has played through much worse than that, in turn hurting his team.
See, this is why I said the real problem wasn't Brown vs. Iverson. I have the strong belief 'til this day...that Brown and Iverson really got along well.
The problem has been how Iverson deals with himself.
Anyways, I'm with my man BigEast on this. I said 4 years ago to trade Iverson. Everybody does their dirt, especially when you're a superstar. But Iverson's stuff just gets ridiculous and annoying. Because it is not like it gets major. But somehow it affects the team. And that is not what I like. I love Iverson as a player. Always have and always will. But I wanted him gone a couple years ago.
Problem is...who would want a 5'9"-5'10" 160 pound 28 year old who has gone through so much injury-wise that he is more like a 33 year old...add to the fact he doesn't take care of his body...and then has a boatload of issues to still deal with and from all accounts, still hasn't grown up? Who would want that? You can't get anything for Iverson.Comment
