I got your point admiral, but we can't put it all on one guy. I think the whole team is playing bad right now. Iverson is averaging almost 5 TO per game, McKie may never get to the point he was in 01/02 etc. Snow was never a shooter, he's a good defender, old school point guard.. that's all.. I also don't think Ayers has a lot of authority down there. the team is playing under the expectations, but maybe they were too high at the beginning of the season.. no chemistry, no communication on defense, letting high leads slip away.. Eric Snow is solid, and right now it should be enough for a Philly fan like you and me.

I kinda agree with you guys. Snow is a little bit overrated. They need to just work on his J. That's the only thing really wrong with him. His J (if he had one) would open up the rest of his game. -Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Great post Muzyk. I agree 100%. Snow gets blamed for a lot that goes wrong in Philly, but he is not the sole reason for their mishaps. Snow handles the ball pretty well and doesn't turn it over - two important things you want in a starting point guard. If the guy had some sort of midrange game Philly would have a field day on opponents.
It's obvious that the guy has very little confidence in his jump shot as seen by the many shots he passes up. The one thing Philly has lacked more than anything in the A.I. era is a PG who can shoot midrange. I've seen various opportunities where A.I. creates an opportunity for his PG to score and the opportunity is either missed or passed up.
As far as Snow being overrated defensively you are probably right ZigZag. IMO though, no one can really stop anyone man 2 man in the NBA so saying who does Snow shutdown is kind of unfair. With the exception of maybe Bowen and Artest [two players who truly enjoy the challenge of playing D against the best of the best] there aren't too many defenders who really shutdown or contain perimeter players from positions 1-3. For his position though, I can't think of too many starting PG's besides the obvious (Glove, Kidd, Baron?) who play better D.
I was praying that Philly would have drafted Juan D out of Maryland when he was avaiable. He is not a true PG but the Wiz have played him at that position at times to some positive effect. Overall I like Snow, but I think either he needs to learn to shoot better or they need to find a PG who can (Easier said than done).EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment
