            I hope Lebron doesn't turn into a guy that has a fast start then becomes an above average player as his career progresses.

            I have to give him props for achieving all this at age 18 tho.

                  It's all about durability. And luck. Not how young you are when you score 1,000 or 2,000 or whatever.

                  As you said, Carmelo also passed the 1,000 point mark. I don't see the big deal about Lebron doing it, when Carmelo has done it as well. Both are in their first year in the league. There's no telling whether either of them will play that long, nor is there any way of knowing if they'll ever be consistent in putting up huge numbers for their teams.

                  Many players would LOVE to play 14-15 years in the NBA, but they just don't make it that long for some reason or another.
