Cuban thinks that because of the fact that Steve likes it here, that'll get him re-signed. He and Dirk may be best friends but when Toronto throws big money at him to come home to Canada, money will make him walk. They will probably stand pat until after the season.

there is still a lot of season left and the Mavs will improve as the season closes. They ended the first half as the #5 seed, so I doubt that they will finish any worse than that. There is no way they will have to play the Lakers, Spurs, or Kings if they are the #5 seed or better (which they should be)

One positive for the Mavs is their very impressive record against the Spurs, Kings, Lakers, and Wolves. I believe that they are something like 8-3 against those teams.

there is still a lot of season left and the Mavs will improve as the season closes. They ended the first half as the #5 seed, so I doubt that they will finish any worse than that. There is no way they will have to play the Lakers, Spurs, or Kings if they are the #5 seed or better (which they should be)

And not only that but a healthy Dirk, may have been enough to put the Mavs in the Finals last year, and I did say MAY so don't get all crazy. But this year no team wants to play these guys in the playoffs, ask any team in the west and this is the one team noone will want to play, they are starting to mesh and that does make all the teams in the west a bit worried. I'm extremely confident that the Mavs have one of the best chances to win the Championship. No matter how bad their defense is they did still make it to the western conference finals, with their best player injured. Just my 2 cents.
