Why can't they just be quiet

"The Kings are going to make a huge adjustment when (Chris) Webber comes back. Webber's never been second fiddle. It'll be interesting to see how that addition to that equation adds up. At he same time, Vlade (Divac)'s not getting any younger (at 36). He has played extremely well as of late, and honestly April is a true assessment of where teams are." "They seemed to be enjoying themselves (Thursday night). A lot of celebrating going on. ... (But) regular-season champs don't cut it." Orange County Register

Why do the Lakers have to keep hating on the Kings, now rat Fox is upset about them losing. I believe they really hate the Kings. Fox on the other hand should be ashamed to open his mouth because

They're threatened by the Kings. IMHO, a healthy Lakers team isn't much better, if at all, than a healthy Kings team, so talking trash and psyching the Kings out early is their best tactic if they meet the Kings in the playoffs. They want to make the Kings play with emotion rather than play a heady game of basketball so that the Kings make mistakes that the Lakers can capitalize on.

That, and of course, they really hate the Kings.

But that's ok, I really hate the Lakers

Fact is, any lakers player with a big enough role in the 3 series that the Lakers have beaten the Kings in gets to run their mouth and, well hes right. Regular season champs dont cut it, its about the playoffs, and the lakers have repeatedly beat the kings in that regard.

No, they don't get to run their mouths off, IMHO. They've already been dethroned, so their arrogance is false bravado as far as I'm concerned. It's not like they've met the Kings in the playoffs every single year. The last time they met, the Kings pushed them to the brink and should have (IMHO) won. That was the LAST time they played in the playoffs. And even then, it wasn't a humiliation of the Kings. The Kings pushed them to the brink, now the Lakers continually act like the Kings are mere insects, which is hardly the case here. The Kings are genuine rivals to the Lakers. The Lakers are just afraid of admitting it.

dethroned, yes; dethroned by the kings, no. Point is, the lakers have owned the Kings in the postseason, and the Kings can only blame themselves for not beating the Lakers in '02. No they havent met every year, but when they have, who won??? I used to be a laker *****, so I can see how you feel, but you really are blinded by that hatred. The lakers didnt treat them like ants, they just have established a superiority over them in the postseason and Fox was only stating the truth.

What was Shaq's excuse for hating on Bibby for the Olympic team and he didn't even want to play in it himself?
