dethroned, yes; dethroned by the kings, no. Point is, the lakers have owned the Kings in the postseason, and the Kings can only blame themselves for not beating the Lakers in '02. No they havent met every year, but when they have, who won??? I used to be a laker *****, so I can see how you feel, but you really are blinded by that hatred. The lakers didnt treat them like ants, they just have established a superiority over them in the postseason and Fox was only stating the truth.

I think you're missing the point. The Kings have proven they can beat them. To easily dismiss the Kings like they do, that IS treating them like they're inferior. It was 2 seasons ago that the Lakers beat the Kings in the playoffs. That's a long time ago. Not to mention that they JUST got by the Kings, they were not dominant over them. I'm not blinded by my hatred for the Lakers, I'm just calling it the way it is. This is a different Kings team. Peja, for one, is healthy, and he's a legit star in the league. While in past Kings-Lakers games, he was shut down by Rick Fox, that isn't so likely anymore.
Suppose the Nets met the Celtics only once in a playoff series, and JUST got by them, and that was several years ago, do you think they should be able to talk such trash about the Celtics? It's the same kind of thing here. The Lakers haven't proven anything against this current Kings team, yet they act like they are a whole other level above the Kings.
