NEway, whoever said Lebron isnt known for being a spectacular dunker I respect your opinion but ..... I do agree that lebron's court vision has been hyped but theres a reason he no longer plays point, and thats because hes a great finisher (read: dunker)

If your talking LeBron, please know what you are talking ABOUT.

P2K was absolutely right. LeBron rarely dunks unless its a fastbreak or breakaway. If the only footage you've seen on LB is on Sportscenter I can see you thinking thats all he does, because thats all they ever show of him. He plays the passing lanes well and gets at least one steal/dunk per game which is what they always show.

Finishing = dunking?. MJ was the best finisher in NBA history and are you saying Mike was ALL dunks? Don't be silly. Finishing means getting the ball into the bucket on a drive reguardless of contact, be it via finger roll, double-clutch, up and under, layup or the highest percentage shot - the dunk. AI is a great finisher and he rarely dunks.

LB doesn't play the point because having a McInnis takes alot of responsibility off of LB whereas he no longer has to bring the ball up, initiate the offense, keep everybody involved, and still try to work on his own development. Thats why their winning now. J-Mac also doesn't turn the ball over nearly as much as LB did.

"LeBron isn't the PG now because he dunks better" Some people....

Melo is a beast. I love his game and his attitude. This thread is about him. Why does every "props for Melo" thread end up being about how LeBron aint sh!t? No need to bring down James to prove how good Melo is.

McCoy the reason Lebron isnt at the point anymore is because he was commiting too many turnovers, and they needed to bring in McInnis to cut down on the T.O's...

I think its too early to compare ANY rookie to any other basketball player or legend. I mean 'Melo or 'Bron neither have accomplished as much as a Pierce, Jordan, McGrady, Kidd or even Big Dog (remember Big Dog did reach Eastern Conference Finals). So all of this hyping 'Melo & 'Bron stuff isnt called for yet, give each a few more years before they get any comparisons they deserve.

Il give it to ya 'Melos game is similar to Pierce's, but itsway too early to compare the 2, or say 'Melo will be a Pierce is 5 years...

No, the reason for McInnis is to provide some veteran leadership to the young Cavs. Getting Lebron to his natural position was a major plus for the team, and was the turning point of the cavs season. Without McInnis to run the point, Lebron still wouldn't be the major point contributor that he is right now.

But very well said Makaveli. There are no comparisons right now this early on in their career. You can't compare a first year Melo or Lebron to a player who is an established player in the league. HOwever, both are becoming great players.

Another thing iv noticed in a change about LeBron, is that now all of the sudden his team is actually winning, he is starting to be cocky, a smug factor you would say. When he does something right, he has to dance or curse, about telling his defender to get off of him. Just shut your mouth & get down the court, and play defense. 'Melo has this whole smiling all the time thing that kind of gets on my nervous, but its good for his game. If 'bron wants to be considered the R.O.Y, he needs to stop being cocky, the R.O.Y voters frown upon that. (sorry, just something i had to get off my chest)

No, now I have to disagree. Lebron is showing his love for the game, and actually getting into the fact that the Cavaliers are a winning team. He is showing his emotion, which gets the crowd, and his team behind him. There is nothing wrong with that at all. Yeah, Carmelo smiles... a lot.

But there is nothing by any means wrong with Lebron showing enthusiasm. The coach's, analysts, fans love to see a kid getting into the game.

And when something bothers you, it gets on your nerves, not gets on your nervous.
