Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
You cant just have a "love for the game" when your winning\on a contender though..
Im a really big fan of Bynums game...but at this point I dont think he's worth the headache..Comment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
I just know he better be waived and not even come close to a Bulls uniform. He don't even need to make the trip into town. Go ahead and rest up those bags of Fritos he's walking on, go bowl, pick out ****ed up haircuts off the pictures at the barber shop, whatever he wants to do, go do that far away from Chicago.Comment

We don't have to worry, man. That piece of garbage won't even sniff the UC or the Berto.I just know he better be waived and not even come close to a Bulls uniform. I believe they have to wait 60 days or something before they waive him. I'm not 100% positive on this.Comment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
I highly doubt that. That would mean teams would have needed to trade for him 60 days ago to avoid the deadline on his contract becoming guaranteed.Comment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
Bulls have until 5 PM today to waive him before his contract becomes guaranteed. He has no reason to come to Chicago lol
And San Antonio will not waive Malcolm Thomas today, guaranteeing his contract for remainder of seasonComment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
I have to look it up. But I'm 99.99% positive he'll be kept away, which is what ultimately matters.
EDIT: I didn't know it was that soon. Thanks for the knowledge. Either way, we all knew he wouldn't come near this team.Last edited by ThreeKing; 01-07-2014, 11:35 AM.Comment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
If you told me four years ago, Odom would be out of the league, Pau would be playing on the perimeter instead of the post and Bynum would throw his career away, I wouldn't believe it for a second.
I was pulling for the kid, actually wanted to resign him and keep him in LA, boy oh boy am I glad we didn't. Health along with his Yolo attitude is enough to get him the Iverson treatment.
Since he's 7 foot, I don't see it happening. Some GM will be dumb enough to give him another shot based on size alone.
He'll have one workout, do and say all the right things, pretend to be interested just to get another check.

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
IMO, melo is going to chicago or LAL in the summer...just a matter of him deciding if he wants to be the #2 on a team with possibilities of doing something in the playoffs or go be the #1 on a bad team again (LA)
@majin, why would deng want to stay in cleveland? he doesnt seem like the guy who wants to be the 3rd option on a losing team. (you know DW is taking more shots than deng)
its a half year rental sure, try and convince him to stay, but that pick is going to land in the protection zone unless sac turns it around enough to just miss the playoffsComment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
If the Bulls ever see a 1st rounder from this trade, they should consider themselves lucky.
That draft pick from the Kings is an abortion.
I wouldn't worry Bulls fans. I believe the Bulls FO's announced the trade as "Deng for Bynum's contract and draft picks".Too Old To Game Club
Urban Meyer is lol.Comment

Re: 2013-14 Transactions Thread
If I'm a Bulls fan, I am completely on board with this deal. The Bulls aren't competing for anything this year with Rose out and it had become clear that they weren't going to re-sign Deng. They might have been able to get a better deal had they went closer to the deadline, but they also run the risk of not finding a trade partner at all. Also, their is value in making the trade now than in a few weeks. This gives them a shot at the lottery and a chance for more minutes for the young guys.
After this trade, followed by the amnesty of Boozer in the off-season, the Bulls 2014-2015 roster:
Derrick Rose $19
Joakim Noah $13
Taj Gibson $8
Mike Dunleavy $3
Jimmy Butler $2
Tony Snell $1.5
Marquis Teague $1
Bulls: $47.5
Cap: $59
Two of the biggest 2014 potential Free-Agents were born in Chicago...Dwyane Wade and Evan Turner. Not sure that either will leave their current club, but an interesting storyline to follow. Of coarse, I could see the Bulls go after Melo and others, depending on who makes themselves available this off-season.Comment

turner already said he expects to not be in philly after this year.
honestly this trade IMO makes the bulls possibly the 2nd/3rd worst team in the east.
they will end up with a top 5 pick(probably #1 to get parker...stern and his last season rigging the lottery and all), landing either randle wiggins parker or smart...all of which would be a HUGE boost to the team.
probably a small chance but could see a bulls team with a lineup of
rose, butler, wiggins/parker/melo, parker/randle/melo, noah next yearLast edited by turty11; 01-07-2014, 12:24 PM.Comment
