    Nerlens Noel News..
Philadelphia 76ers rookie center Nerlens Noel has been given the go-ahead by Dr. James Andrews to resume basketball-related activities and could be ready to take the court shortly after the All-Star break, sources told ESPN.com….
“He is doing excellent, and the team is taking good care of him,” Andrews told ESPN.com on Wednesday.
Andrews said he was unable to provide more information because of privacy laws, but sources told ESPN.com that Noel, the No. 6 pick in this past June’s NBA draft, could return to game action within the next four to six weeks barring a setback.
The Philadelphia 76ers have cleared rookie center Nerlens Noel for "limited on-court work," but several benchmarks remain before he can return to game action, the team announced Wednesday night.

Not at all IMO. Joel has only played 3 minutes per game this season, and I believe it's only been in games that Haslem and Battier have missed. He's not a part of their rotation at all and likely wouldn't even have an active roster spot come playoff time unless somebody was injured.

I don't think it's a bad deal for the Celtics either. Having Crawford would pointless and I don't think they saw Brooks as part of their future going forward so they got an expiring and some draft picks. If you're gonna tank, tank hard, which is what the Celtics are doing with this move.

But, back to the transactions. The Thunder are set to sign Royal Ivey. Most likely a 10 day contract.

Rondo was assigned to Maine for 2 hours before being recalled, lol. He worked out with the Red Claws, I heard.
I guess it's because he was with them in the past but how does Royal Ivey continue to extend his time in the NBA? I can't think of one thing Royal Ivey does particularly well, he's gotta be the most generic dude in the NBA. He's like one of the fake players from all the classic teams that weren't the Bulls on 2K11.

from what ive heard/read its going to be throwing a $53M deal at hayward this summer and then trade all the picks for a "star"

my concern is that would mean bradley isn't going back, so he could be packaged with picks for a legit center leaving rondo-hayward-green-sully-center

But heavy emphasis on the words "playoff contending roster" though

im not sure if you meant fighting for the 8th seed or a legit 5-7 seed tho ^^

i feel like the celtics are a playoff team this year had rondo been healthy full time....but if we can get a legit center id consider us a top 5 seed...not like that means much

I mean that roster or lineup ain't winning no championship but they'll be good enough to contend for playoff spots every year.
