I have a feeling about this years Bulls team. I believe they will win the East, but I'm just not sure if we can get past the Heat in the playoffs when it matters. We are always a tough regular season team, but when it comes down to it, I just don't know if we can keep up with LeBron. I have a feeling we'll win 60+ games this year, with game 1 of the year being one of them!

I wouldn't necessarily say they don't matter because you can still see SOME signs of how good/well a team will do later in the year when the games start to matter "more".

Luckily, I have Football to occupy the first 2-3 months of the season for me and don't get invested into Basketball full time until the NFL is wrapping up and with College Hoops getting ready to start up soon, my Sports viewing season is just about to begin LOL.

I agree that's why I said in a lot of ways the first month or two don't matter. Not completely discounting the first few months but I always chuckle when people overreact to things that will end up being much different by January or so

I actually think the Bulls will win the title this season.

Defensively I think the Bulls have done a decent job on Lebron in season's past. The problems have been on the offensive end when they go through periods when they just can't score.

If they can get scoring off the bench, I think they can win it all.

Just watched some preseason Rose highlights... Wow this guy. Almost forgot how beastly he is.

I had a vision where I imagined Nash trying to defend Rose around the screen... I felt sick to my stomach.

Westbrook is really fast but Rose has dynamites in his legs.

It's the first game of the season. I wouldn't go too crazy if I were the Bulls. I think injuries have hurt them in the past. I'd like to see a health team come playoff time.

That's true, and I think we'll see more precaution if / when the little nagging injuries start to show up. Not to suggest they weren't taken seriously over years past, but I think - and with Noah specifically - you may see guys get extended breaks / time to recover when the time comes. I think we'll certainly see a more concerted effort to ensure that everyone is a go after the first 82. Again, this isn't to suggest that they were careless in the past, but everyone knows that this is most likely the last run with this core.

Been watching some highlights today as well, some Rose, and I am as pumped for this season as I have been in years past. And there have been some intriguing years in recent memory. I just have a good feeling about this team. About the whole association, actually.
