Thibbs and other coaches are going to ride their horses but I wouldn't mind more coaches doing what Pops does. I don't blame either strategy as long as a coach pulls his guys when they're up 22 with a minute to play

According to Chandler Parsons, he says that Patrick Beverley will start at PG for the Rockets.

Also, Harrison Barnes is out the first 2 games with a foot injury.

I love the Bulls, but the one thing that destroys me about them and why I can never pick them is because its pretty much Derrick Rose and Derrick Rose only. Granted they always have a great defensive team, and they may get a game against them come playoff time, but I've just always felt Chicago didn't have the right #2 option, some kind of big time scorer to help take the load off of Rose. The Russell to Durant, the Wade to LeBron, Rose doesnt have that, he has Carlos Boozer. He has Joakim Noah. He has Jimmy Butler (nothing against him) and that's why I can never see the Bulls getting past the Heat in a seven game series.

Yea but he has Deng, and Deng is gonna have better numbers with rose back. And I believe Deng can be a solid 2nd option. Plus with butler actually able to to guard lebron, that frees up Deng to better help out on offense. And it looks like rose won't be 100% of the offense this year like in years past. Plus rose probably won't be even handling the ball all the time either.

I agree, it's not that I don't love watching Rose and Westbrook play, I mean they really took the athletic/explosive point guard standard and multiplied it by 10.. But I don't see that type of player as a primary scoring option winning a chip... He needs to either slightly change the way he plays, and facilitate more and pick his attack points differently, or the Bulls need to add a dynamic scorer to put a long side of him..

He's a great player and a top talent in the league but he needs a role where he is attacking the defense and making them adjust, with someone for him to kick to when it happens and them take lots of the shots.. I don't have a problem with guards shooting, I don't have a problem when Westbrook shoots more than Durant, but Rose needs a Durant, he needs the counter balance player in his offense. He needs the consistent efficient scorer who you know will get his, that way he can go out and be the match-up headache that he is all night long the way Westbrook can. But until he gets that guy I don't think the way we've saw him play in seasons past will get it done.

But the Bulls do have a great defense and it's not like the other starters are slouches on offense either, they have one of the better 6-7 man line-ups in the league.. Maybe the best in the east... But I just never see that everybody on the same page, and just flat out dominance, on offense that I see from the other contenders when I watch them play.. Excluding on nights when Rose goes off by himself..

With all that said I don't think they'll be in the finals, I still have Indy or Miami, but it's not like it would surprise me if they did make it. They're a great team, and all it really takes is a couple guys getting hot at the right times.. Especially when you have a defense like they have..
